Ruben Amorim has declared that this season will see a very different Manchester United.

In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Manchester United's head coach Ruben Amorim showed a highly positive spirit. He is confident that the addition of new players will bring a very different Manchester United this season.

At Manchester United, there is rarely a “neutral zone”; instead, there are two opposing extremes that have been growing apart. Last season, the team faced clear problems with scoring and organizing attacks. This was evident as the Red Devils scored only 44 goals in the Premier League, more than just three other teams. Therefore, during the recent transfer window, United spent about £200 million to address this issue by signing Sesko, Cunha, and Mbeumo.

Although the season opener ended with a defeat to Arsenal, Manchester United's performance still showed several positive aspects. However, the goalkeeper issue became a focal point after Altay Bayindir’s mistake against Arsenal. In the first press conference of the season, Amorim admitted he learned a lot from last season.

“The first thing I told the players is that when you face too much criticism, you will feel sad, and that is normal. For me, the only way to protect myself and the players is to tell them not to see anything. You have to be like a monk, especially when facing problems, because sometimes you have to explain rumors that are not true.”.

“Altay made a mistake, but last season he had some very good performances, so I try to convey that to the players and tell them to confront those false stories. But ultimately, the decision is up to the players; they must enjoy life, go to work, enjoy time with their families, and try not to watch anything on TV or the internet.”

Amorim also mentioned that this season, players can feel a change in atmosphere and team cohesion::

“Last season, sometimes I felt anxious before matches, but now I am excited; everything is completely different. We endured so much together last season, and that can bond people, creating a truly positive spirit. When you feel the team is playing well, you become confident and feel freer on the pitch, and when freer, you are happier. If you are happy, your daily life improves and everything flows smoothly.”.

The attacking trio of Mbeumo, Cunha, and Sesko offers Amorim more options. Both Mbeumo and Cunha can play as a number 10 or a central striker, sharing the burden with Sesko. Cunha’s skillful dribbling and Mbeumo’s intelligent movement against Arsenal have revived optimism among Old Trafford fans. Amorim emphasized:

“We have different options this season, but sometimes football is more than what happens on the pitch. Mbeumo and Cunha arrived at a time when things were very different; sometimes we have many talented players, but past scars remain and affect the team’s motivation. They can help us not only on the field but also off it.”.

Another promising star for United is young Slovenian striker Sesko, whom Amorim describes as “obsessed with football.” Regarding the development of this talent, Amorim said:

“I have to be careful; Sesko will be our striker for many years to come, so we need to keep him calm and let him enjoy his days because he is truly obsessed with football. I am really happy not only with him but also with Cunha, Diego Leon, and Mbeumo. We know that in the future, these players will stay together and become an important part of our team.”.
