Dau Van Toan hits the 100-match mark in the V-League representing Hanoi FC.
Starting in the goalless draw against HAGL, midfielder Dau Van Toan officially reached 100 V-League appearances for Hanoi FC. Born in 1997, he has shown endurance and consistency with the capital club over eight V-League seasons.
Graduating from Hanoi FC’s youth academy, Dau Van Toan gradually proved his abilities to secure a spot in the Hang Day Stadium squad. The Hanoi-born midfielder is known for his hardworking and quietly dedicated style throughout his career.
Born in 1997, Dau Van Toan rose through Hanoi FC’s own academy. Previously, he captained Hanoi’s U19 and U21 teams to national championships. He made his first-team debut in the 2018 V-League, earning substantial playing time late in the season after Hanoi secured the title early.
Coach Park Hang-seo once called Dau Van Toan up to Vietnam’s U23 squad to prepare for the 2020 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers. Despite Hanoi FC’s star-studded lineup full of national team players, Van Toan carved out his own role thanks to his steady form, versatility across multiple positions, and rare injury record.
Earlier, in April 2024, Dau Van Toan extended his contract with Hanoi FC for three more years until 2027. This marks his 100th V-League appearance. Across all competitions, he reached 100 matches for Hanoi FC by Round 4 of the 2024/2025 V-League season.
Regarding his decision to renew with Hanoi FC, Dau Van Toan shared: "Hanoi FC has always been a part of me. Simply put, without Hanoi FC, I wouldn’t be who I am today. This club trained me and helped me become a professional player. I have never considered moving anywhere else besides Hanoi.
