Hanoi Football Club adds Brazilian forward, finalizes foreign player lineup for V-League 2025/26

Winger Luiz Fernando Nascimento is the last foreign player to join Hanoi Football Club in the early part of the 2025/26 season.

The Brazilian forward born in 1997 officially signed a contract lasting until the end of the season, becoming the fourth foreign player of the capital’s team, alongside Adriel Silva, Willian Maranhão, and Daniel Passira.

Luiz Fernando Nascimento is the final foreign player for Hanoi FC in the V-League 2025/26.

Born in São Paulo, Luiz Fernando is 1.75 meters tall and can play flexibly on both wings. The 28-year-old has more than 10 years of experience playing in the U.S. for Richmond Kickers, Atlanta United, Memphis 901, and New Mexico United.

Luiz Fernando was born on June 23, 1997, in Brazil and developed in the famous Corinthians youth system. In January 2016, he began his professional career with Flamengo de Guarulhos.

After leaving Flamengo de Guarulhos, Luiz Fernando played for Richmond Kickers (2016–2018), Atlanta United (2019–2020), Tampa Bay Rowdies (2021), Memphis 901 (2022–2024), and New Mexico United (2024–2025).

Fernando’s main position is left winger, but he can also operate effectively on the right wing. The Brazilian is currently valued at 250,000 euros by the transfer website Transfermarkt.

In over 200 matches, Luiz has recorded 32 goals and 26 assists. His versatility and experience are expected to give coach Makoto Teguramori additional effective attacking options.
