Duong Quoc Hoang was crowned champion of the 99 Allin C2 Tournament after overcoming Filipino player Aivan Maluto.
Cueist Duong Quoc Hoang, also known as Hoang Sao, secured a convincing victory at the 99 Allin C2 Tournament, thus ensuring the championship trophy remained in Vietnam following an outstanding campaign. This title holds great significance for "Hoang Sao," as he had repeatedly fallen short of winning the championship in the latter part of the previous year.

The event was held from May 6 to 9, 2026 in Hanoi, featuring 128 players vying in the 9 Ball Break Box – Race to 9 format. The total prize pool reached 456 million VND, with the winner taking home 150 million VND. This competition also served as a qualifier for the "Road to World Tournament" series.

Throughout his journey to the final, Duong Quoc Hoang displayed overwhelming performance. In the quarterfinal, he beat Binh Chuan 10-7. Then in the semifinal on the afternoon of May 9, "Hoang Sao" overpowered Nguyen Hoang Minh Tai with an 11-4 victory, securing his place in the championship match.
In the final match held on the evening of May 9, Duong Quoc Hoang demonstrated total dominance. He dictated the pace from beginning to end, allowing his opponent few opportunities for an upset, and secured an emphatic 13-4 win over Aivan Maluto. Earlier this year, the Vietnamese player had beaten the same rival at the Chinese Taipei Open, yet this triumph carried greater significance as it crowned him champion on his home turf.
