The 2026 UK Open Pool Championship is back from May 26 to 31 in Brentwood (Essex, England), maintaining its status as a top-tier destination on the World Nineball Tour circuit.
According to organizers, this year's tournament gathers 256 players from numerous countries and territories, with a total prize fund reaching $225,000. The event promises to deliver a week of world-class 9-ball pool action.
Vietnamese billiards once again features a strong and quality contingent, most notably 2026 Premier League Pool champion Duong Quoc Hoang (Hoang Sao). He is the most anticipated player among the Vietnamese competitors at the UK Open 2026.

"Hoang Sao"'s impressive international form in the early months of the year gives him great confidence heading into the UK Open 2026, making him Vietnam's top candidate for a deep run.
Besides Duong Quoc Hoang, Vietnamese billiards also includes five experienced representatives: Nguyen Anh Tuan, Pham Phuong Nam, Pham Minh Duc, Tran Hoang Dat, and Le Hai Long. These are all familiar names to domestic billiards fans and regularly appear in tournaments under the Matchroom system.
In the first round, Nguyen Anh Tuan is the earliest to take the stage at 5:00 PM on May 26 against American player Paul Song. Ninety minutes later, Duong Quoc Hoang faces off against Saudi Arabia's Mohammed Baabad. This match draws significant attention as the Vietnamese representative is in top form.
The evening will feature three more notable matches: Pham Phuong Nam meets Kashyap Choudhary at 8:00 PM; Minh Duc Pham takes on Boris Ivanovski at 9:30 PM; Tran Hoang Dat clashes with Ruslan Ostrovskyi at 10:00 PM. Closing the first day of competition is Le Hai Long's appearance against Besar Spahiu at 11:00 PM.
