The LPL third stage group matches have reached the fifth match day of the third week. The strongest all-Chinese team, BLG, has shown a clear improvement in their performance after changing junglers. In their last match against WBG, they achieved a clean 2:0 sweep, marking their third consecutive victory in the new stage. BLG has now climbed to second place on the leaderboard, and if they can win against TES in the next match, they should be able to continue their winning streak and reclaim their title as the "king" of the regular season.
ELK has given up the shot-calling role to focus on his gameplay, and his laning ability in the bot lane has noticeably improved. The coaching staff has recently begun developing new strategies, such as the bomb + Varus poke duo, which has certainly caught attention. IG seems to have narrowly escaped a crisis; this lineup was clearly prepared for the all-Chinese teams. However, due to weather issues, the match was postponed, and WBG ended up being used as a stepping stone. They were bombarded without any chance to retaliate, truly suffering from the experience.
The regular season powerhouse T1 also faced their fifth match on the same day. In a fierce three-game battle against WE, TES emerged victorious with a score of 2:1, securing their fifth win in the third stage. This five-game winning streak has solidified T1's position at the top of the leaderboard. Hang, who joined the team not long ago, has completely turned his reputation around after fans were initially critical of his arrival during the transfer period.
Unexpectedly, after five matches, Hang's performance has exceeded expectations. He can now gain advantages in lane against his opponents and is bold in team fights. Compared to his time at WBG in the second stage, he seems like a completely different player. Previously paired with Light, where he faced constant defeats in the bot lane, Hang was once derided as the "worst support," relegated to the bench to watch the game. Now, in a new team, he consistently gains advantages in the bot lane. Could it have been a problem with Light?
With a core of two Korean players, JDG removed Ale and Missing during the transfer period, replacing the support with Xiao Xu and Wink. After the start of the season, JDG's performance has been less than ideal, suffering clean sweeps against IG and T1, and struggling against the bottom-ranked WE. Their wins have largely depended on opponents' mistakes, indicating that the new support has not made a significant difference for JDG. Wink's performance sometimes even falls short of the underperforming Missing.
Seeing the poor results, JDG's management has begun to adjust the roster again. Recently, Hacker revealed during a live stream that Missing is set to return to JDG. In their next match against the Little Phoenix, if they win, Wink will likely remain the starter; if they lose, Missing will probably take the stage. Just a month after being let go, they are now bringing him back, making this move quite abstract for JDG.
After FPX was swept by BLG in their last match, a blogger revealed that RNG's Galaxy would be joining FPX. This news has recently been confirmed, with FPX officially announcing Galaxy's signing. Just after joining the team, the management has already promoted Galaxy to the starting lineup. In the upcoming match against JDG, he will face off against Xun. Previously, when Galaxy won the Best Rookie award, he was playing for FPX, so this can be seen as a return to familiar ground.
To be honest, JDG's recent form is quite poor, with both the mid and support positions being weak points. FPX has just beaten IG and is certainly riding high on morale. There's a chance they could potentially upset JDG in this match. However, Galaxy has only been with the team for a few days, so the synergy might not be optimal, and his competitive ability is a tier below Shadow's. Iyy may find it challenging; they just won against IG, and now he's gone. Who can they turn to for answers?
If Missing returns to JDG, it won't change much because the team's biggest issue right now is Scout's declining form in the mid lane. He has no advantages against anyone and has even become a consistent weak point. Simply swapping out the support won't significantly enhance the team's overall strength. Relying solely on Peyz for the entire team is certainly not a viable strategy.
So, do you think JDG can win against FPX?
