In the third segment of the LPL, AL and WBG clashed in a best-of-three series. After three intense games, WBG emerged victorious with a score of 2-1, marking their third win and giving AL their second consecutive loss of the new season!
In the first game, AL had Sion in the top lane, Troll in the jungle, Orianna in the mid lane, and a bot lane duo of Tristana and Poppy; WBG featured Aatrox in the top lane, Xin Zhao in the jungle, Taliyah in the mid lane, and Sivir with Alistar in the bot lane. During the laning phase, Tarzan's rhythm soared, successfully providing support in the bot lane and securing kills in the jungle. Early on, AL took down the bot lane's first blood tower, leading the economy by 2K.
In the mid-game, AL initiated a fight at the Herald, but Tian was quickly eliminated, allowing AL to claim the Herald. Ultimately, in a chaotic battle at the river 28 minutes in, Kael's Poppy used her ultimate to knock away Breathe's Aatrox, and Tian's Xin Zhao was again taken down. During the laning phase, Light's Kai'Sa hunted down Hope's Jhin in the jungle, and early on, AL took down the top lane's first blood tower. In the Rift Herald fight, WBG achieved a resounding victory, executing a 0-for-2 trade, leading the economy by 2K early on.
In the mid-game, both teams made mistakes, maintaining an economic gap of around 2K until 25 minutes in, when Tarzan's Maokai was caught and killed in the jungle. WBG then took the initiative to secure the Baron, with Breathe's Graves claiming the first Baron. Ultimately, at 28 minutes, AL initiated a team fight, but Xiaohu's Azir evaded damage with his ultimate, countering and eliminating four members of AL, leading WBG to victory in the second game. The MVP went to Xiaohu's Azir.
In the third game, AL picked Smite in the top lane, Jarvan in the jungle, Sylas in the mid lane, and a bot lane duo of Lucian and Bard; WBG countered with K'Sante in the top lane, Nocturne in the jungle, Viktor in the mid lane, and Ezreal with Braum in the bot lane. During the laning phase, both teams contested the Rift Herald, but Kael's Bard only managed to hit Liu Qingsong's Braum with his ultimate, allowing WBG to secure the Herald and initiate a fight that took down AL's carries, leading the economy by 2K early on.
In the mid-game, both teams fought for the dragon, with Tarzan's Jarvan being quickly eliminated, allowing WBG to secure the water dragon soul. At 25 minutes, a chaotic battle broke out in the river, where Kael's Bard's ultimate and the Saint Gunner's Little Fire Dragon's ultimate miscommunication allowed Breathe's K'Sante to charge in fiercely like a war god. WBG executed a 2-for-4 trade and took down the Herald. At 28 minutes, Tarzan's Jarvan was killed in the jungle, and WBG secured the first Baron. Ultimately, in the late game, at 30 minutes, WBG wiped out AL in the bot lane, clinching victory in the match.
