The new LCK format has been announced, and the LCK Cup has been added

LCK is the first to reveal next year's new format, in general, a new LCK Cup, this cup is used to select teams to participate in new international events, this cup will use the global BP model, in terms of the format, the ten teams will be divided into two groups, HLE and GEN in different groups, and then choose the teams in their own group.

The selected teams continue to select the same group team, and then play the BO3 competition between the groups, the teams in the group will not compete against each other, and finally determine the three teams with the best record to advance directly, and then the fourth to ninth teams will play the play-in round, the tenth team will be eliminated, and the play-in round will determine the three teams to enter the playoffs, and the playoffs will play the traditional bubble game to determine the champion.

This format is still quite exciting and exciting, and everyone will wait and see who can win the championship under the global BP.

Then the later LCK will not be divided into spring and summer matches, there will be only one league championship throughout the year, and there will be five rounds of matches, after the first two rounds of matches, the team that will advance to MSI will be determined first, and after the last three rounds, the team that will advance to the S round will be directly determined, and the regional qualifying matches will be canceled.

The global BP event is bound to be very exciting

The league on the LCK side still plays the regular season (round-robin) as usual, after playing the round-robin, the top six teams have the MSI selection qualifications, the first and second teams play directly, the winner directly advances to MSI, and then the remaining five teams play in order from low to high to determine another seat, the importance of the regular season under this format is greatly enhanced.

The teams participating in the MSI will not be called champions and runners-up, because the league will continue after the MSI ends, and according to the previous ranking, the ten teams will be divided into two groups, and the group will play BO3 training matches, which is somewhat similar to the format of this year's LPL.

Then the top two teams in Group A (the group with the best record) advance to the second round of the playoffs, the third and fourth teams advance to the first round of the playoffs, and the three teams from Group 5 and Group B compete for the last two spots, and the ninth and tenth teams are eliminated directly.

The playoffs are still a double-elimination format, with the first seed for the champion, the second seed for the runner-up, and so on to determine the third and fourth seeds.
