Hello to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, this is World Game Hub.
Yesterday, the LCK witnessed a showdown for the top spot, featuring two teams that had been maintaining winning streaks. The opponents were KT and NS, and these two teams delivered a match for the audience that was akin to an all-out brawl.

Ultimately, KT successfully swept NS, securing a three-match winning streak in the new season and temporarily claiming the top position on the LCK standings.
LCK's epic brawl, NS jungler ruins the entire game.
As widely known, the traditional style of LCK revolves around steady macro play; generally, kills don't erupt that frequently. However, in the current LCK region, the teams performing best are those that favor intense skirmishes and fights. Yesterday, whether KT and NS had prearranged it or not, both teams seemed ready from the very start of the match to outplay their opponents.

Both sides adopted an aggressive, wide-open style of play. The dramatic tension in the first game was particularly high, with the teams engaging in turn-based assaults. However, NS's jungler made a colossal mistake that cost them the favorable situation.
Early in the match, NS secured a significant lead by diving the bot lane tower and initiating in the jungle to gain a score advantage. But soon, Cuzz's Pantheon kicked off his ganking rhythm, partnering with Bard to repeatedly unleash offensive surges, even delivering an 8-0 kill retaliation to NS. NS then responded in turn, seizing opportunities to mount a 4-0 counterattack.

Moreover, this 4-0 wave from NS came with the acquisition of map resources, directly securing the Baron buff. However, with the Baron buff, NS immediately began to falter: the Jarvan IV positioned too deeply and was killed, the EZ recklessly charged forward and died, and the two sides swapped their offensive and defensive positions.
Top spot battle turns frenzied, single game erupts with 41 kills.
Later, NS seized an opportunity to rush the Baron, but their top and jungler made huge errors. Jarvan IV didn't smite the Baron and instead used EQ to escape the Baron pit range, while the top laner K'Sante used a Q3 that knocked the opposing jungler right next to the Baron, allowing Cuzz to easily steal it. After KT secured the Baron, they also made a mistake in the mid lane.

In the midst of chaotic, disjointed fighting from both sides, KT's Caitlyn stood her ground to complete the cleanup, thereby helping KT clinch victory in the first game.
One might have thought the first game was already sufficiently intense, but unexpectedly, the second game saw both sides playing even more wildly, fighting almost from the first second to the last. In this game, the teams again engaged in turn-based exchanges early on, with the score alternating leads. Scout brought out Sylas, capable of stealing the opponent's Alistar ultimate, but during a crucial dragon fight, NS's Nocturne made a poor entry and was instantly eliminated.
Subsequently, BDD's Ahri furiously output damage, securing a quadra kill that set the tone for the match's advantage. Later, KT made errors by forcibly contesting the Herald fight and lost a round, but quickly retaliated with BDD executing a brilliant predictive E skill.

Despite falling into a disadvantage, NS remained aggressive in initiating assaults, forcibly pulling off two spectacular 3-for-3 team fights. However, as the game progressed, KT's Ziggs became somewhat unmanageable. Amid mutual charges from both sides, Ziggs unleashed frenzied damage to help KT win the match. The final score was 28-13, totaling 41 kills in a game lasting less than 30 minutes. Combined with the first game, the two matches produced 83 kills, breaking the LCK's record for bloodshed in the new split.
Perfect's form blazing hot, KT's roster upgrade succeeds.
Looking at their performance since the start of the season, personally, I believe the core reason KT managed to reach the top is their significantly upgraded team roster. Support Effort's form is exceptionally good, which helps KT address a key weakness from the first split. Additionally, top laner Perfect's prowess is growing stronger.

Now, Perfect shows no fear even against top-tier top laners, meaning KT's configurations for both top and bot lanes have been strengthened. Coupled with the solid foundation of their dual-carry combo BDD and Aiming, whose capabilities are inherently sufficient, KT possesses the strength to defeat powerhouse teams like GEN and T1.
In the upcoming schedule, the only relatively tough opponent in LCK should be HLE. If KT can also defeat HLE, they are expected to have a chance to maintain the top spot in the first round. As for BFX, their overall performance this new season doesn't appear to be that of a strong team at all, so KT's probability of winning is quite high.

Against the backdrop of LCK's earlier split dismal failure, KT might become a dark horse in the LCK region in the future, potentially contending for an MSI slot.
