T1 has secured a spot in the playoffs, and Faker is heading to China once again! Peyz has fully awakened and switched into championship mode.

Greetings to all LPL viewers and League of Legends summoners, welcome to Tianxia Game Exchange.

Yesterday, the LCK hosted a high-stakes Super Week match with T1 taking on DK in a BO5 format. This game was very important for the Elder Dragon and Baron groups and would determine if T1 could secure a playoff berth ahead of time.

In the end, T1 cleanly swept their opponents 3-0, becoming the first team to advance to the playoffs.

T1 dominated across the board, and Peyz completely came alive.

T1’s BO5 strategy usually involves going all out in the first game to gauge their opponent’s strength and form. If they sense a significant gap, they switch to a more aggressive, entertaining style of play. That was exactly what happened yesterday, as DK clearly couldn’t match T1’s level.

In the first game, Doran’s Nidalee gained a huge lane advantage and roamed early to assist Faker’s Azir in mid lane. ShowMaker attempted a risky solo kill on Faker but was countered, while Oner ganked the bottom lane to help secure an early lead.

Doran’s Nidalee secured a solo kill in lane. Mid-game, DK mounted a comeback and narrowed the score gap, but in the late game, T1 turned up the pressure and easily closed out the match. Faker’s Azir stunned everyone with a one-shot kill on a support player.

In the second game, T1 picked the Kai’Sa composition, and Peyz went on a rampage. Doran’s Sion also shone brightly. At the dragon pit, T1 initiated a fight and Peyz’s entry sealed the win for the team. From there, T1 confidently snowballed their lead, with Peyz’s aggressive plays dominating teamfights and securing the victory.

In the final game, Peyz chose Varus and maintained flawless performance throughout. It’s clear that Peyz has now fully awakened.

T1 has punched their ticket to the playoffs, and Faker is coming to China again.

In this game, T1’s lineup remained strong, featuring Galio mid and Nocturne jungle. Doran picked his signature Kennen in the top lane. Early on, DK attempted a tower dive in the bottom lane, but Keria’s excellent initiation countered the dive and, with Peyz’s help, secured a kill.

Shortly after, Keria and Peyz combined for another surprise kill in the bottom lane.

On the top side, Doran gained lane advantage against Udyr but made a mistake and was solo killed. Fortunately, he returned to the lane and avenged himself with a solo kill of his own.

Oner continued to demonstrate why he’s the world’s best Nocturne, giving T1 a big lead in the early to mid game. The team then eased up a bit, giving DK some chances, but in critical moments, Doran’s two brilliant entries nearly sealed the match. Despite lacking mobility, Peyz’s Varus managed multiple clutch counter-kills and dealt maximum damage under pressure.

After this match, T1 became the first team to qualify for the playoffs. According to the rules, T1 from the Baron group has already secured five consecutive wins. If GEN beats HLE, GEN will join T1 in the playoffs; if GEN loses, T1 will advance as the group leader.

It’s worth noting that this year’s LCK Cup finals will be held in Hong Kong, China, so it looks like Faker will be visiting China once again.

Switching into championship mode, T1’s momentum is very strong.

Judging from their performance in the first split, this T1 team has clearly left behind their usual underwhelming league form and is now aiming for the league title. This is why many viewers say this year’s T1 feels unfamiliar. Normally, T1 performs moderately in the league but peaks at the World Championship, but this year is clearly different.

In my opinion, the fundamental reason is the roster changes. Actually, last year’s first split saw T1 playing very well, but due to the format and a sudden surge from HLE in a do-or-die match, they lost a grueling five-game series and finished sixth. If last year’s format had been the same as this year’s, T1 wouldn’t have ended up in sixth place.

This year, Peyz just joined the team, so T1 needs time to gel. The goal is to reach their full potential by helping Peyz integrate and unlock his talent. It’s worth remembering that Peyz had a tough time with JDG last year, so now at T1 he’s getting a better environment.

In short, this year’s T1 is definitely aiming for the cup championship. The playoffs will be a fierce battle among top teams. Also, today’s big match between HLE and GEN is about to start, so everyone should look forward to that showdown.
