VCTCN: bud’s hot form dominates the match, BLG defeats TE 2-0

In the second round of the 2026 VCTCN Starting Point Qualifier, BLG defeated TE 2-0 and moved on to the third round of the qualifier.

Map one: Fracture

Defending team TE: Iron Arm, Nightfall, Hawk, Phantom Edge, Starfall

Attacking team BLG: Starfall, Titanium Fox, Phantom Shadow, Phantom Edge, Iron Arm

In the first half, BLG secured the pistol round; in round 3, Viva eliminated two in mid, but BLG lost map control and their pincer attack on A site was countered by TE’s defense.

In round 4, BLG accelerated towards B site; rushia cut off TE’s rotation through mid, leaving only Viva to save a weapon.

BLG went on a four-round winning streak; in round 8, TE pushed aggressively in front of B site to control the map, but BLG directly attacked A site and was stopped by TE’s counter-rotation.

After a timeout, TE adjusted their defensive positions. In round 10, BLG rushed B site, but TE’s defense prevented them from entering.

In round 12, whzy’s Phantom Shadow pushed mid to score a triple kill; LuoK1ng held the front of A site with three kills; nephh planted the spike just in time and defended against LuoK1ng’s rotation. Half-time score: BLG 9-3 TE.

In the second half, BLG won the pistol round; in round 14, whzy scored four consecutive kills, narrowly missing an ACE.

In round 15, TE attacked B site, deploying utility inside and successfully securing the site.

TE scored five consecutive rounds; in round 20, BLG’s five players defended, using ultimates from Iron Arm and Phantom Edge to eliminate TE’s spike defenders and earn match point.

In round 23, whzy and bud pushed forward together, trapping TE outside A site and eliminating them; BLG won Fracture 13-10.

Map two: Breeze

Defending team TE: Viper, Nightfall, Hawk, Swiftwind, Phantom Shadow

Attacking team BLG: Viper, Hawk, Starfall, Neon, Gecko

In the first half, TE won the pistol round and went on a four-round winning streak; in round 5, BLG quickly attacked A site and cut off TE’s flank, winning the round and saving all five rifles.

In round 6, BLG continued attacking A; DeLb’s Nightfall used ultimate to gather info on rotation, allowing TE to gradually push forward and clear the area to win the round.

In round 8, LuoK1ng’s Viper used ultimate on B site; LuoK1ng narrowly avoided BLG’s entry, and BLG successfully took the site with whzy scoring a quad kill to win the round.

BLG scored three consecutive rounds; in round 9, TE’s eco round held A site; LuoK1ng cut off the rotation and then another player, enabling TE’s four-versus-two defense to easily turn the round around.

In round 11, BLG caught Kai and DeLb on B site, but their forced site entry was shut down by TE’s crossfire. At half-time, BLG’s offense was struggling, with only 4 points to TE’s 8.

In the second half, BLG won the pistol round; in round 15, BLG lost mid and A site, giving TE a bonus round win.

In round 16, bud pulled off a triple kill mid, eliminating the explosive device; although FengF managed a triple kill at the right moment, it wasn’t enough to regain control.

In round 18, with inferior weapons, BLG flanked TE from both front and back at B site to eliminate them.

bud grew hotter in map two, scoring another triple kill in round 19 to lead the team to victory. BLG went on a four-round winning streak; in round 22, TE again had rifles and successfully attacked A site to eliminate BLG.

In round 23, rushia’s Viper used ultimate at A site to block the path; TE was forced to rotate to B but ran into whzy’s Phantom Shadow triple kill.

In round 24, BLG eliminated FengF; TE lacked main smoke and was pinned mid by Phantom Shadow. TE forced a B site push, but BLG held tight with crossfires at the spike, giving TE no chance. BLG won Breeze 13-11.
