Faker calls on Peanut to make a comeback! Homme sharply critiques Little Lü Bu: similar to other ADs

After the LCK K Cup concluded, T1 recently collaborated with Mercedes to hold a fan meet-and-greet. During interviews with the media, Faker addressed the team's goals for next year and some personal matters. Despite having already won three consecutive world championships, T1’s primary objective for next year is surprisingly to win the LCK league title. This is a bit hard to accept, especially with Chovy in the league; T1’s dream of clinching the league championship seems quite challenging.

When asked by the media about plans for marriage or starting a family after retirement, Faker replied that he has no decisions yet. Although starting a family is meaningful, it will be considered later. When asked whether he prefers daughters or sons, Faker said daughters are cuter. Faker’s contract with T1 runs until 2029, so it’s still early to think about personal matters, but he is definitely not getting any younger.

Faker urges Peanut to return

Besides interacting with fans and giving interviews, Faker also wrote a handwritten note at T1’s photo exhibition calling out to Peanut: “Wanghu, come back.” These two brothers really have a sweet bond. Among all the retired teammates, Peanut is the only one Faker is inviting to return. After receiving the message, Peanut jokingly responded during a live stream: “Then I guess I have to listen to him and come back.”

Peanut actually wants to compete again, but he will start his military service in May next year, so returning to the scene is definitely unrealistic. During a live stream, he seriously addressed the comeback question: “A comeback is really a distant future. I will consider it gradually. Will League of Legends 2 be released? If it is, I’ll come back to play.” Given Peanut’s age, the chances of returning after military service are very slim.

Homme’s sharp critique of Little Lü Bu

HLE head coach Hongmi recently gave a media interview and evaluated two players from T1. Hongmi said Zeus exceeded his expectations, managing to perform impressively even when his champion was countered. In games they were likely to lose, Zeus could still maintain an even performance, which Hongmi found incredible. This praise carries high recognition.

When talking about Gumayusi, Hongmi made a notable comment: Gumayusi is similar to other ADs with his own unique style, but since the team is still in its early stages, they need to work towards showcasing their individual characteristics. Hongmi did not specify what style exactly. His evaluation of Little Lü Bu was much less positive compared to Zeus. Perhaps after the De Cup, Hongmi felt Gumayusi wasn’t as strong as Peyz and struggled to find praise for him.

Foreign media statistics on team viewership

Recently, international media compiled the top 5 team viewership ratings across major esports titles in 2025. League of Legends’ T1 dominated the list overwhelmingly. Excluding mainland China (not included in the stats), T1’s global viewership reached 195.4 million hours. The runner-up was ONIC from Battlegrounds Mobile India with 95.6 million hours. The gap between first and second place exceeded 100 million hours.

CS2’s Bee Team ranked third with 90.2 million hours. The last two on the list were DOTA2’s Falcons and Valorant’s FNC. Such a large difference highlights T1’s dominance in international competition. Unfortunately, T1 didn’t make it into the VCT Masters, otherwise their viewership might have surpassed 200 million hours. ONIC, the only mobile game team on the list, surprisingly secured second place in viewership.

Conclusion:

Little Lü Bu, as a three-time AD champion, definitely has undeniable skill, but during this K Cup, he was completely outperformed by Peyz, which is somewhat surprising. Perhaps he hasn’t fully adapted to the new team yet. With more time to gel, he should improve. After leaving T1, he really needs to directly defeat his former team or decisively beat Peyz once to prove himself.

So, what do you think—is there still a chance for Peanut to make a comeback?
