As the most loyal Korean player in the LPL, Viper nearly every year in his streams shows fondness for the LPL and repeatedly compliments Chinese food. This has led many fans to look forward to his comeback to the LPL this year. However, some viewers don’t understand why Viper would join BLG, a team with a questionable reputation. It’s worth noting that many of Viper’s fans dislike certain BLG fans’ provocative behavior. (Viper’s fans often call him “husband,” while BLG fans refer to ELK as “lord.”)

Recently, BLG’s official account released a video announcing Viper’s joining, in which Viper himself explained his reasons for joining BLG for the first time. Viper stated that BLG is the strongest team in the LPL, and he wants to qualify for the Mid-Season Invitational and World Championship, so he needs to join a powerful team. He also praised the strong skills of BLG’s players. After hearing this, many fans joked that Viper was scared after his experience with HLE’s mid laner Zeka, and that joining BLG is likely because their mid laner LeftHand is there.

During the transfer period, Viper’s agent revealed in an interview that whichever team signed mid laner LeftHand, Viper would join that team. Moreover, many insiders reported that both Viper and Bin took pay cuts to renew with BLG. HLE’s team also stated in interviews that they had multiple renewal negotiations with Viper, but he rejected all offers. Many fans joked that if Viper had renewed with HLE, then Xiaolubu might have joined an LPL team.

Besides explaining why he joined BLG, Viper also paid tribute to Brother Bin during interviews. He said he joined BLG to win all future championships and hopes that BLG players will work hard alongside him to improve. After seeing Viper’s determination, many fans joked that if Viper can keep BLG’s players disciplined during matches, BLG could become a world champion-level team, since their current playstyle often “gives opponents too many chances.”

I personally checked the LPL official schedule announcement, which shows that the entire BLG roster will participate in the Demacia Cup on the 19th. Interested viewers can watch Viper’s debut performance back in the LPL. I feel that once Viper and support ON develop good synergy, BLG will be unstoppable in the Demacia Cup. Many strong teams are not sending full rosters this time, such as AL, IG, and TES, who are competing with their second teams or weakened lineups.

AL is going to Korea for training, so they won’t participate in the Demacia Cup with their full roster. TES is not fielding their main lineup because their AD carry JKL is resting. IG has completely given up this season. Currently, the only teams that pose a threat to BLG are WBG and JDG. Do you think these two teams can beat BLG? Personally, I’m very excited to see WBG face BLG, especially watching ELK versus Viper. (Who would have thought ELK, a “pure soul,” got himself kicked out?)
