On December 12, the Pacific League officially announced that this year's promoted team SLT has been acquired by VARREL.

The SLT lineup, including players and coaching staff, will remain intact to participate in next year's Pacific League.

Previously, there were leaks indicating that the promoted SLT team in the Pacific League would be acquired, with earlier reports suggesting a potential takeover by an LCK team.

Now the Pacific League has officially confirmed that SLT has been bought by a Japanese esports club, and next year SLT will compete under the name VL in the Pacific League.
