Introduction: The S15 season has completely ended, and most players have likely paid attention to the recent offseason period. It was initially thought that this transfer phase would be without much turmoil, yet top teams still made huge investments, creating extremely luxurious all-Chinese rosters. Especially the WBG team, which, despite an average performance last season, signed multiple top-tier professional players to build a supreme all-Chinese lineup. Last season, BLG was regarded by fans as the hope for an all-Chinese roster; this season, that hope seems to have shifted to WBG. From players to coaching staff, their overall quality is very high, and their results are likely to be top four, contending for second place.

Most players are quite familiar with the LPL region. Once a world-leading league, the LPL has developed rapidly over recent years, with more teams but declining results, even falling to the fourth-best region globally. This season, it was expected that LPL teams would tighten budgets and reduce spending to maintain operations, but surprisingly, investments have increased. Especially some of the stronger teams, who have assembled ultra-luxurious rosters, such as BLG and WBG, both acquiring multiple top players. Notably, WBG has even formed the LPL's supreme all-Chinese roster for the new season.

Last season, the most popular LPL team was BLG, which featured an all-Chinese roster. However, after signing the jungler Sha Dou, they abandoned that label. Official support for their operations decreased, leading to no players from BLG being selected for the All-Star showdown. During the winter transfer window, aiming for world-class honors, they invested heavily to acquire several top players, forming a first-rate lineup: top laner Bin, jungler Xun, mid laner Knight, AD carry Viper, and support On. Especially notable is Zuo Shou, who renewed his contract with BLG for two years. Previously, AL’s manager Aixiang said he offered Zuo Shou nearly 50 million yuan for one year, but he declined; this time, the price was likely even higher.

The WBG roster has also been fully assembled, forming the LPL's supreme all-Chinese lineup: top laner Zike, jungler Jiejie, mid laner Xiaohu, AD carry Elk, and support Erha. Particularly impressive is their coaching staff, having directly acquired Gen.G’s head coach Kim Jeong-su. Fans familiar with the scene know he was also IG’s coach when they won the LPL’s first-ever World Championship. Gen.G performed excellently this season, and he was even named Coach of the Year. This roster is considered the hope for an all-Chinese LPL team, with industry insiders predicting they will likely finish top four, competing for second place, and aiming for the championship.

It feels like the LPL region is gradually declining. To achieve the highest honors, all top players must be gathered into one team, like the current BLG. Every position is occupied by elite players, including Korean import Viper, who has no communication issues in Chinese, having already mastered it during his time with EDG. One can only say that S16 might be the LPL’s final year; if they can win the World Championship, the region’s lifespan will extend, but if they fail, the LPL might fall to rock bottom, with player salaries sharply dropping and popularity halving.

Both BLG and WBG are all-in on their efforts. If nothing unexpected happens, these two teams will be the strongest in the LPL for S16. Although IG and JDG have also restructured their rosters, their strength is somewhat lacking. Especially JDG, which was the first to hire the best domestic coaching staff, but their overall lineup is average and has not impressed fans, showing a gap compared to the coaching staff.
