LPL's three top teams have announced their rosters! IG's all-star lineup collapses, BLG remains uncertain, and WBG brings in a champion coach.

Greetings to all LPL fans and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Report.

The LPL transfer period has officially reached the announcement stage, with most team rosters now transparent. Recently, many teams have made official announcements, including those with notable changes in the three most followed LPL lineups.

Up to now, three major strong teams in the LPL have finalized their announcements and will become the core forces of the league next season.

Top three teams announce rosters, BLG still uncertain

The three top teams currently announced in the LPL are BLG, JDG, and WBG. BLG has confirmed Viper joining and Xun returning, while the other three positions remain unchanged. Compared to this year's lineup, BLG has significantly improved, and it’s highly likely they will keep both Shadow and Beichuan as junglers.

However, it’s important to note that BLG has abandoned the all-Chinese lineup approach this time. Since Uzi’s initial comeback forming an all-Chinese roster, BLG has followed this path for several years but found it limiting, ultimately deciding to bring in Viper and let go of Elk.

Currently, there is still uncertainty about BLG’s new head coach, as no official announcement has been made yet. Fans have speculated from clues that the new coach might be Daeny.

A quick look at the rosters shows that the key positions for Chinese and Korean teams are mostly filled, making Daeny the most probable candidate to join BLG.

If Daeny joins BLG, it means IG’s all-star lineup is in serious jeopardy. IG is arguably one of the biggest losers this transfer period, with their all-star lineup officially falling apart and their chances of achieving good results in the first split almost impossible.

IG’s all-star roster collapses, JDG looks promising

IG’s lineup for the new season might undergo huge changes. Rookie, Meiko, and The Shy are likely to take a break; GALA has left, WEI stays, and except for the jungle, all other positions will be replaced. The most disappointing news for fans is that their bot lane might be Photic, which has caused fans to express despair.

With this new setup, IG will basically become an inexperienced team in the LPL, unlikely to rank high in the standings.

TES is in a similar situation: 369 and JKL will rest, the coach has left, and the team will probably perform at a mid-tier level next season.

Returning to the top three teams, JDG has officially announced multiple transfers for the new season, notably the additions of Tabe and GALA. GALA has exceptional reliability in matches, and Tabe is a skilled coach. The team is expected to perform well next season, also bringing in HongQ and Junjia for the mid-jungle positions.

Both players are relatively young, especially HongQ, who has high development potential. The only concern fans might have is whether their top laner Xiaoxu can improve his skills.

WBG brings in a champion coach, Xiaohu gains strong teammates

Finally, WBG has announced the signings of Jiejie, Zika, and Elk, with Erha as support. They’ve also brought in champion coach Kim, better known as Kim Jeong-soo. The roster has undergone a major overhaul, and Xiaohu once again gains strong teammates. As a veteran, being able to reignite his career at this stage is quite fortunate.

In my opinion, WBG’s roster is strong, but there are doubts about head coach Kim’s ability. It’s uncertain whether he can lead a new team to good results or commit fully to the role.

Kim previously worked with GEN and is familiar with the Korean playstyle. Whether he will implement the LCK system with WBG is something to look forward to. Overall, comparing the setups of JDG and WBG, with similar player skill levels, I personally have more confidence in JDG’s coaching staff.

In summary, the strong teams to watch next season are just a few, plus AL who has yet to announce their roster. These four teams are likely to rank at the top next year. Of course, every year there are teams with strong lineups that underperform, so it remains to be seen which teams will disappoint and which will deliver surprising performances.
