With only two days remaining until the LOL World Championship final, international media have updated the global finals assist rankings. Faker still holds first place, needing only 45 more assists to reach 1000. Should the final be particularly aggressive, Faker is likely to cross that milestone this year. Keria is second, not far behind, having recorded 244 assists this year and could potentially exceed 1000 assists in the final as well.

Getting assists as a support is relatively easier. Not only is Keria expected to break 1000 assists, but he also has a chance to surpass Faker and become the all-time assist leader. Faker has played professionally for many years and holds all the world championship records at the top, but this year his teammate might break those records. Future players will find it difficult to catch up. Meiko and Canyon each have over 700 assists, trailing Keria by about 150.

The LCK officially announced recently that the LCK Cup will introduce a “Super Week.” In the existing format, the third week will be designated as Super Week, where teams tied in group rankings will compete across groups to increase viewer enjoyment. Since the LCK Cup does not record stats, this adjustment leans more towards entertainment. Additionally, to accommodate the Asian Games, the LCK regular season will have a shortened schedule.

While maintaining the total of 10 playoff matches, the double-elimination format for the qualifiers will be removed. The fifth place from the Legend group will face the first place from the Rising group directly, with the winner advancing to playoffs. The second and third places in the Rising group will compete, and the winner will face the loser from the previous match between the Legend and Rising groups for a playoff spot. Also, coin tosses to decide sides will be canceled; instead, the higher-ranked team will choose sides first in both qualifiers and playoffs.

LPL legend Uzi was recently invited by the official channel to participate in a “Who is the best AD ever” showdown. In the first round, he chose to eliminate Master and Doge from Europe, then decisively picked Big Egg over Little Lu Bu. When choosing between Gala and Auntie, Uzi hesitated but ultimately selected Little Lu Bu. Finally, when Emperor appeared, Uzi firmly chose Ruler, who ended up securing 6 kills and was crowned the greatest AD.

The final choice was between Uzi himself and Ruler. He chose the latter. International viewers praised Uzi’s fairness and humility, saluting him. This kind of voting is quite entertaining; if Uzi had chosen himself, it might have caused a big stir. Based on achievements, Bang and Little Lu Bu could be considered top ADs, but many fans feel Ruler’s dominance is unmatched.

LPL’s first world champion support, Baolan, recently shared a video predicting the World Championship final score. Baolan believes T1 is currently in great form with a deep champion pool, while KT is stronger than expected, especially after defeating GEN. KT’s players are likely to have better mental states than T1’s, but T1’s overall strength is slightly superior. Therefore, Baolan predicts T1 will win 3-2 over KT.

Honestly, predicting the outcome of this BO5 is tough. KT’s support duo are rookies but performed excellently against GEN. If they maintain that level, KT has a good chance to upset T1. They only lost one small game this World Championship. However, T1 has rich experience in big matches and good team atmosphere. Oner practicing clutch champions in do-or-die games says it all.

KT has been underestimated throughout this World Championship but repeatedly defied expectations, reminiscent of IG and DRX’s championship runs. If they ultimately lift the trophy, it would be a great story. The only worry is if BBD underperforms against his idol in the final. Without mid-lane pressure, KT’s chances of beating T1 are slim.
So, do you think BDD will become a legend, or will Faker claim his third consecutive title?
