TES2-1 eliminates BLG, advances to the quarterfinals! Both carries deal massive damage, but Bin's Jax couldn't save the team.

In the S15 World Championship Swiss round final BO3, TES clashed with BLG, who fielded Shadow as their starting jungler. After a tough three-game series, TES triumphed 2-1, securing a spot in the quarterfinals and ending BLG’s run at the round of 16.

In game one, TES picked Rumble top, Jarvan jungle, Orianna mid, and Lucian with Braum bot; BLG chose Ornn top, Xin Zhao jungle, Ziggs mid, and Yuumi with Annie bot. During laning, Kanavi’s Jarvan ganked bot, killing ELK’s Yuumi for first blood. Kanavi then gained momentum, ganking top and bot, solo killing Knight’s Ziggs in the jungle, and securing three Rift Scuttlers. At 12 minutes, a dragon fight saw JKL’s Lucian make a mistake and get instantly killed, allowing BLG to trade 0-for-2. At 15 minutes, JKL’s Lucian erred again, leading to TES’s bot duo being taken down. Early game economy remained roughly even between both teams.

At 17 minutes mid-game, ON’s Annie dove bot to initiate a fight, hitting two with her ultimate. BLG’s numbers advantage crushed TES’s top and support, securing kills and setting up a dragon soul. At 19 minutes, TES’s four-man group caught BLG’s top laner Bin’s Ornn, but lost Orianna mid to Creme. BLG’s remaining four players pushed down TES’s mid inhibitor turret. At 23 minutes, BLG heavily damaged Kanavi’s Jarvan and claimed the water dragon soul. At 25 minutes, BLG’s five-man squad caught and killed Kanavi and JKL, then secured the first Baron. Finally, at 28 minutes, BLG wiped TES in the base and took game one’s victory. Knight’s Ziggs dealt the most damage for BLG, while JKL’s Lucian led TES’s damage output.

In game two, BLG selected Renekton top, Vi jungle, Ahri mid, and Sivir with Alistar bot; TES chose Qiyana top, Troll jungle, Kassadin mid, and Varus with Poppy bot. At 9 minutes, BLG’s jungle and support ganked top, killing JKL’s Varus with Shadow’s Vi securing first blood. Soon after, 369’s Qiyana solo killed Bin’s Renekton. At 11 minutes, Shadow attempted a mid gank, but Creme’s Kassadin outplayed 1v2 and killed Shadow. TES pushed down the first bot tower early and secured two dragons, with both teams maintaining roughly equal economy.

At 20 minutes mid-game, TES grouped to take down the top outer tower. ELK’s Sivir made a mistake in the jungle and was instantly killed, allowing TES to claim the Rift Herald. At 22 minutes, ON’s Alistar was caught and killed in the jungle. TES then proactively contested the dragon; BLG’s top and jungle tried to ambush JKL’s Varus, but TES defended well and countered, killing three BLG members and securing the Earth Dragon soul. At 25 minutes, BLG forcefully engaged mid, killing JKL’s Varus, but Creme’s Kassadin arrived with teammates to kill Shadow’s Vi. TES then started Baron; BLG tried to defend, but Creme’s Kassadin ulted two enemies, TES killed BLG’s bot duo, and took the first Baron. At 28 minutes, TES wiped three BLG players in the base and evened the series. Kanavi on Troll was awarded MVP.

In game three, TES picked Mordekaiser top, Qiyana jungle, Sion mid, and Aphelios with Nautilus bot; BLG chose Jax top, Wukong jungle, Galio mid, and Rell with Xayah bot. At 7 minutes, TES’s four-man group ganked top but overextended, allowing BLG to counterattack and trade one for two, with ELK’s Xayah securing first blood. At 13 minutes, TES’s four-man ganked top again, diving to kill BLG’s top and support and pushing down the first top tower. At 15 minutes, BLG found an opportunity in the jungle to kill TES’s jungle and support, then took Rift Herald. Early on, BLG secured two dragons while TES maintained a 1k gold lead.

Mid-game, Bin’s Jax solo killed Creme’s Sion bot lane, but 369’s Mordekaiser came to assist and traded kills with Bin. At 20 minutes, TES took Rift Herald; during a chaotic fight, Creme’s Sion had grown powerful and dealt massive damage, resulting in a 3-for-3 trade. At 26 minutes, Bin’s Jax initiated a teamfight, but Creme’s Sion kept distance to output damage. Although ELK’s Xayah forced down Creme, JKL’s Aphelios cleaned up, and TES turned the fight into a 2-for-5 wipe against BLG, securing the first Baron. At 29 minutes, TES took the dragon soul. Late game at 34 minutes, both teams fought over dragon; TES secured the Cloud Dragon soul. BeiChuan’s Wukong flanked to start the fight, but 369’s Mordekaiser ulted Jax, and TES’s two carries cleaned up to wipe BLG and claim the match victory.
