Hello to all LPL fans and League of Legends summoners, this is Tianxia Game Report.
In the second game of the S15 World Championship Swiss round do-or-die match between BLG and VKS, Knight selected LeBlanc. Although BLG secured some early to mid-game lead, repeated errors caused the match to extend into the late game.

Fortunately, in the final stalemate, BLG successfully executed a forced base steal, winning the do-or-die match and advancing to the last round.
Knight’s LeBlanc debuts as BLG wins the dragon fight.
During the second game’s ban-pick phase, VKS on blue side banned mages and secured early engage jungler Wukong, paired with top Quasanti, mid Taliyah setting the pace, and bottom lane Bard and Aphelios combo. Their lineup had strong crowd control and initiation, able to quickly provide ranged support and outnumber fights.

BLG responded with a mid-game burst composition, with top Rumble and mid LeBlanc. Poppy and Xin Zhao as jungle-support offered strong counter-engage, and Rumble had high burst damage. The key was LeBlanc’s individual performance.
In the early phase, Taliyah held lane well, limiting LeBlanc’s opportunities. At the first dragon fight, both teams clashed; BLG rushed the dragon first. VKS initiated and nearly killed the jungler, but Knight’s entry secured a kill on Taliyah. Bin’s Rumble TP’d in, using ultimate to lock down enemies. BLG killed two, while VKS’s Bard traded one kill.
Later, BLG’s lane coordination faltered, allowing VKS to capitalize by tower diving and killing Elk.

BLG’s aggressive invasion into the jungle went wrong; the support flashed in to initiate but teammates didn’t follow, resulting in the support’s death. However, BLG quickly reengaged, with Knight locking down Taliyah to secure a kill with teammates.
BLG lost control mid-game; VKS successfully shut down LeBlanc.
Knight kept kiting and outputting damage, securing another kill. After Bin’s ultimate locked enemies, Knight dove in to claim a quadra kill, achieving a 5-0 score. After recalling, BLG’s top laner found a solo kill on Wukong.

This game seemed like it would be a LeBlanc solo showcase, but Knight was ambushed on the top side. Quasanti initiated and, with mid and support’s help, killed Knight, breaking the kill streak. BLG then arrived to assist and killed one enemy but didn’t retreat. Instead, they sought another fight but were wiped by VKS, losing their prior advantage.
Seeing trouble, Bin tried to solo kill Bard. Knight and VKS TP’d in simultaneously, resulting in a one-for-one trade and Bin’s death. In the second dragon fight, VKS positioned first and rushed the dragon; BLG failed to contest and conceded it.

At the Elder Dragon fight, VKS formed a solid setup, limiting Knight’s LeBlanc impact. VKS’s Xin Zhao initiated teamfight, flashing away at low health. BLG counterattacked, with Knight flanking to kill Wukong. Both teams then disengaged.
After recalling, BLG took the Elder Dragon during Wukong’s death, but failed to retreat in time, resulting in Xin Zhao being caught out and killed.
Knight stepped up as BLG made multiple strategic errors.
In the tense stalemate, BLG made another mistake. Poppy tried to catch Bard off-guard but was blocked by a shield and died, putting BLG in danger. Fortunately, no further resources were lost. At 31 minutes, BLG attempted to steal Baron but failed. Poppy initiated on Quasanti, leading to a chaotic fight where VKS’s formation was split. On baited two enemies before dying.

However, BLG won the main fight. Rumble secured two kills, and BLG’s mid and jungle cleaned up for a 3-for-5 teamfight win, then successfully took Baron.
While pushing with Baron buff, VKS seized the chance to secure a dragon. BLG pushed lanes but gained no additional objectives.
At 36 minutes, Taliyah made a critical mistake invading the jungle and was caught by On, who knocked her against a wall. Bin followed up for the kill. BLG took advantage to destroy the mid inhibitor. While pushing bottom tower, BLG initiated but with poor results. LeBlanc entered and killed one, but On also died.

At 38 minutes, Knight bravely ventured deep into the jungle, nearly wiping Taliyah. He then caught Bard out and secured a solo kill. BLG took Baron again, pushed bottom high ground, and top-jungle initiated a fight to successfully destroy the tower.
BLG won the do-or-die match, but LPL faced bad news.
After destroying the bottom high ground, BLG tried to force a fight, but Xin Zhao lacked ultimate. Elk was controlled near the tower and pulled back. Xin Zhao was trapped and died, losing his Guardian Angel. BLG’s jungle and mid also made mistakes invading the enemy jungle, resulting in Poppy being caught and killed, and LeBlanc dying deep inside enemy lines.

VKS pushed high ground. Bin used ultimate to defend alongside Rumble and Xin Zhao. VKS then made a TP error; Quasanti TP’d forward, but the main force retreated.
Bin immediately TP’d to high ground to attempt a base steal, restricting the enemy’s recall. LeBlanc revived and TP’d to high ground to finish the base destruction. BLG’s base steal ended the match.
Ultimately, BLG advanced to the final Swiss round. Personally, although BLG won, LPL received bad news: BLG’s form has not fully recovered. Especially in game two, BLG made too many strategic mistakes, always trying to close the game quickly but leaving openings. It can be said Knight single-handedly carried the team to victory.

Had Knight performed even slightly worse, BLG might have lost the match.
If BLG faces T1 in the final round with this form, winning would be difficult. Looking further ahead, even if they reach the quarterfinals, winning tough matches will be challenging. The biggest concern is whether BLG can fix these issues because once team coordination breaks down, it’s hard for the team to achieve good results.
