LCK Enabling Global BP Spring Tournament Dates Announced! T1's favorite mode?

★ Game Horseshoe Original

The opening date of the new season of the LCK has been confirmed

The LCK2025 Spring Tournament in Korea is scheduled to kick off on January 15 next year, and with Riot coming to the S15 season with a new Worlds and a new global BP, almost every region will have to make changes to it. For example, the LPL is also preparing to add a winter tournament, while the LCK is divided into 10 teams to play global BP in 2 groups. Similar to the model that the LPL has already launched in this summer, the group stage is the group stage, the top three teams with the best results in the upper bracket directly advance to the playoffs, the two teams with the worst results in the lower bracket are eliminated, and then the remaining teams will decide 3 more promotion spots. The final 6 teams will advance to the playoffs.

A global BP that can only be used once for all heroes

Anyone who has seen the Legend Cup before should know this BP mode, and all heroes in the game can only be used once, whether it is the opponent or themselves. Bo1 and Bo3 are fine, but if they enter Bo5, this kind of BP will be a great test for the player's hero pool and the team's tactical reserves. In the case of playing 5 rounds, at least 60 heroes must be prepared, which is indeed more thrilling and better looking than the traditional old BP in the past.

Global BPs will be introduced in all regions

Because it's a new content officially decided by Riot, all remaining 5 regions will have global BP enabled starting next year. At present, the start dates of the winter season are scheduled for January 15, 2025 in South Korea, January 18 in Europe, and January 25 in North America.

Highlights of the new season in South Korea

Zeus joins HLE, joining forces with Peanut, Zeka, Viper, and Delight, and it is self-evident that leaving Faker will also be the beginning of the world's top class.

Five-star T1 still has Faker in charge, Doran fills Zeus, and everything else remains the same, but the Sand Soldier is still a team with a cap championship.

DK's old assistant Beryl returns, the top laner is a newcomer, and the other three remain the same.

GenG Nakano remains unchanged, Ruler returns, and newcomers assist to join.

The rest is not much to watch, and the strongest players in the Korean LCK every year are basically concentrated in these four teams. However, given that DK lost to BRO at Kespa in the first place, there is still a new mode in the new season, and there may be unexpected surprises.
