The fog is thick! World of Tanks Recon Mode Launches, Weather System Testing Begins!

As the Halloween event comes to an end, another major event in World of Tanks 1.26.1, Recon 2024 with a local weather system will be launched on November 4 and end on the 17th, which will last for more than two weeks!

According to the description of the official video, in each battle, local weather zones will remain on the map for a long time and will be isolated from unaffected areas by newly designed game mechanics. How outrageous is this isolation? Enemy tanks, whether they enter a local weather zone from a normal area or vice versa, will vanish at the moment of approaching; And we will lose the enemy tanks in sight accordingly.

This means that the affected and unaffected areas are effectively separated, making it difficult for commanders inside and outside the area to attack each other. You can only get close to the border and use the 50-meter bright mechanism to find the enemy, or shoot blindly according to the remaining minimap information, and then simply enter the field to participate in the battle.

In addition, whether it's Mullevanka burning a forest fire, or the Outpost and Nordic Fjords that launch a graphics attack with thick fog, all local weather systems provide the same buffs, i.e. vision and highlight time are negatively affected, such as halving the vision range and reducing the lighting duration from 10 seconds to 5 seconds.

It should be noted that Mullevanka's "Wildfire" can deal damage when the tank passes, which means that it will reduce the tank's HP! Therefore, if you want to cross this wildfire area and improve your tactical position, you need to think carefully!

In general, this mechanism will definitely have an impact on changing the current combat rhythm of the national uniform. For example, commanders can rely on weather cover to carry out larger-scale assaults, making it possible to "jump" large forces from their own control area to the vicinity of enemy bases.

A large area of desert hills in the middle of the Desert Town map can become a new engagement zone, and commanders will be able to capture the hill and press the black gun positions in front and back of the enemy without fear of crossfire. In the dense fog area on the right side of the outpost, the express car at the base on the upper right can quickly insert into the area, approaching the rear of the enemy spawning in the lower left, compressing the opponent's strategic space!

In addition, there will be exclusive missions in the Recon mode, which will also have matching rewards. Commanders only need to score 50 points in a week to get the exclusive 2D skin "Climate Warning". Moreover, this scout mode will be online for two weeks, and the mission will also be reset in the second week.

In order to further get feedback from the commanders, the official questionnaire was also set up. Commanders only need to complete a certain number of battles to fill out a questionnaire and share their insights on battles on each map!

It can be said that compared to the previous reconnaissance missions used to test new maps, this reconnaissance mission for the purpose of testing the local weather system will be more popular, because it really affects the underlying logic of the battle! I believe that the commanders will be able to return home with a full load in this event that starts on November 4th!
