Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiaodi.
In many players' minds, the support role is all about protecting teammates, providing vision, and landing crowd control, with damage being irrelevant. However, some supports might change your perspective, as their damage output is surprisingly strong. If you underestimate these heroes, you'll likely be caught off guard. So, which supports deal the most damage? Let's break it down in this episode.
When it comes to high-damage supports, Sang Qi is the first name that comes to mind. Anyone who has actually played him knows this well—his damage mainly comes from the synergy between his passive and first skill. For allies, it provides significant healing; for enemies, it deals considerable damage. In the early laning phase, using his first skill to take off half a squishy's health bar is totally normal, and that's before any items are built.

Additionally, Sang Qi's ultimate is also a sustained damage ability. The grass patch he places deals damage over time to enemies who enter its range, though the numbers are much lower and far less impressive than his first skill.
It's hard to say for previous versions, but in the current patch, with the Wuxiang Artifact equipped, Kong Kong'er's damage has reached an exaggerated level—it's fair to say she can solo the enemy carry.

This is because Kong Kong'er's skill kit is already excellent, with all her abilities having bonus physical damage. The addition of the Wuxiang Artifact takes her to another level: the tank version of the artifact creates a field that deals damage and slows enemies. Since Kong Kong'er's ultimate creates two clones that mimic her actions, the damage and slow effect are tripled. In this state, if a squishy gets caught, they'll either die or be left barely alive.
Yang Yuhuan is quite special. As a mid laner, her damage might be mediocre and her presence low, but as a support, she actually deals more damage. This sounds counterintuitive, but the reason is simple: her skill set perfectly synergizes with the support item Extreme Shadow. The cooldown reduction and mana regeneration from Extreme Shadow allow Yang Yuhuan to cast spells more frequently, dealing sustained damage. After all, when she plays mid, building a Holy Grail first for cooldown reduction is almost impossible.

Moreover, even though Yang Yuhuan plays support, she still retains the high ability power scaling of a mage. Unlike utility mages like Xi Shi, Yang Yuhuan doesn't build many tank items as a support. At most, she'll pick up a Frostbite or similar slow-inducing magic damage item, so her damage doesn't drop much. Compared to other supports, her damage output is indeed above average.
This one is easy to understand. Donghuang Taiyi's damage largely comes from his own health pool. Once his ultimate latches onto an enemy, the damage dealt to him by opponents is also transferred to the tethered target. This naturally results in high damage. Even if the opponents wisely avoid attacking him, Donghuang Taiyi can force a control under a tower, using the tower's attacks to deal damage.

Additionally, if Donghuang Taiyi maintains three orbs around him, the continuous burn effect on nearby enemies also contributes a fair amount of damage.
Of course, the core value of a support still lies in utility and protection. If you truly have the ability to carry, you might as well play a carry role. But that's not absolute—sometimes a team composition lacks damage, and a support adding a bit of damage can just fill the gap. That's not a bad idea either.
