King Farm is arguably one of the most successful casual modes introduced by Honor of Kings. It has been available for a while now, and players are having a great time tending their fields daily. The mode keeps evolving, and recently, top-tier players have broken through to level 81, unlocking a brand-new crop: the cactus fruit. I thought I was quite diligent in farming every day, but I'm still far behind the leading group—honestly a bit ashamed. Today, let's talk about the new level 81 crop and what's coming at level 82.

New crop at level 81: Cactus fruit

The cactus fruit, unlocked at level 81, has a great design. Its main color is a fresh, light green, and it’s shaped like a plump, short oval. At the top, it has cute pink buds or stems, which from a distance look like two symmetrical heart shapes—quite soothing to the eye.

Moreover, when the cactus fruit undergoes a giant mutation, the green model becomes even more refined and plump. Several giant cacti lined up together create a striking and calming visual impact. Whether you invite friends for a photo or interact with them, it becomes a very romantic scene in the farm.

According to official info, the cactus fruit matures in 1 hour, usually yielding 80 fruits. It can mutate up to 3 times, and requires a total of 3,042 plantings to reach max level. However, crops that mature in just 1 hour rarely get farmed to max level by players—most just plant them once to see the effect. After all, they aren't hero crops, which are far more appealing, though hero crops are indeed added very slowly.

How hard is it to go from level 81 to 82?

Once you reach level 81, you can see the next crop to unlock: the coconut. The coconut is an 8-hour crop, yielding 40 fruits, with a mutation cap of 3 times. It requires 619 plantings to max out. Overall, it's a fairly standard high-level crop with nothing particularly outstanding.

But the coconut's model feels very familiar—it looks quite similar to the previously unlocked papaya model, both being round fruits hanging on trees. The only difference is the color and texture. It's fair to say that with so many crops already in the farm, many models do look alike. I hope the devs can improve the model design in the future and introduce truly fresh crop visuals, because after all the hard work to reach high levels, unlocking a "deja vu" crop definitely dampens the experience.

Speaking of leveling up—that's the really discouraging part. To go from level 81 to 82, players need 3.21 million experience and 390 million farm coins. Even high-level players find these numbers daunting:

Currently, one of the best crops for experience is the gentian flower. Planting one batch yields 360,000 experience. With that efficiency, you'd need about 9 batches of gentian flowers to reach the 3.21 million experience target. Additionally, with level 1 farm land and no mutations, one batch of gentian flowers can earn 3.83 million farm coins. That means roughly 9 days to meet the coin requirement, but for ordinary players without alt accounts, it may take even longer.
