Hello everyone, I'm Game Xiao Di.
Season S43 is already more than halfway through, and the most influential feature for players this season is undoubtedly the limited-time summoner skill "Converge as Troops." Using it instantly cuts the cooldown of all active skills by 50% and provides class-specific bonuses. Although it was originally designed as a seasonal exclusive, developers once said that if players liked it, they might consider making it permanent. However, no further updates on that have been given since. So, do you support keeping "Converge as Troops" for the next season?

Xiao Di's stance leans toward keeping it, for the following reasons:
Compared to the previous "Grass Spirit," "Converge as Troops" is far more versatile and pairs well with many heroes. Cooldown reduction abilities are extremely rare, making this skill highly valuable. For instance, Cai Yan often finds her healing cooldown just ending right when a teammate falls in team fights; with "Converge as Troops," she can halve the cooldown at a critical moment and even benefit from its own healing effect, greatly boosting her margin for error. Another example is Liu Bang, whose ultimate has nearly a one-minute cooldown early on, often restricting his roaming pace. With this skill, his support frequency improves significantly, adding more tactical flexibility. As a result, many heroes have seen a noticeable rise in strength thanks to this skill.

The biggest drawback of "Converge as Troops" is that heroes who rely heavily on specific summoner skills—like junglers who must take Smite—cannot equip it. However, this has led players to develop new strategies, such as assassins using this skill in the sidelane, with Keanu (Lanling Wang) being a prime example. With the 50% cooldown reduction, his early-game damage becomes very high, allowing him to dominate lane opponents by keeping their health low. Mid-game, after bursting a full combo, he can rotate to other lanes more quickly thanks to the reduced cooldown, tightening the game's pace. If this skill were removed, these innovative playstyles would come to a halt.

If you watched the preview livestream for the next season, you'll know that there will also be limited-time content: the "Formless Divine Artifact" equipment. The good news is that one is an item and the other is a summoner skill, so they don't conflict at all. Interestingly, the "Formless Divine Artifact" for mages also reduces cooldowns. If "Converge as Troops" is retained next season and doesn't conflict with it, then we could achieve a 1+1>2 effect, greatly benefiting mages that rely on cooldown reduction—and inevitably spawning many new creative builds.

In summary, Xiao Di believes that "Converge as Troops" has brought mostly positive experiences this season. It provides a great boost for your own team while feeling reasonably counterable for the opponent. So, keeping it might be a good choice. What do you think—should it stay or go?
That's all for today. If you found this enjoyable, feel free to give a like to show your support. If you have anything else to say, ask, or see, leave a comment below—I'll read them all!
