For KSG, the ending of the annual finals was a bit regrettable. KSG was the sole team to take AG to a best-of-seven showdown. In the opening round of the challenger cup, KSG stunned everyone by sweeping Wolf Team 3-0, a team that had eliminated them multiple times in elimination matches. This so-called "budget rebuild" surprisingly delivered remarkable performance.
Before the match against DYG, support overwhelmingly favored KSG, with no one backing DYG! This clearly shows the strong confidence everyone had in KSG!

However, what shocked the entire community was that despite KSG's large lead in the first game, they were overturned and defeated by DYG! Many fans began to doubt whether KSG had been overrated. But from the second game onward, it was KSG’s show! Although DYG secured the first blood in game two, the momentum remained with KSG. Two waves of attacks in the top lane and red zone opened up the offensive, and by 6 minutes, they had a 4K gold lead. Especially Juhao’s performance on Pei Qinhu was unstoppable.
Additionally, Liulang’s early support on Angela was crucial. DYG’s lineup had little early damage; Nezha, Zhen Ji, and Ao Yin had to play defensively. Falling behind by over 10,000 gold made a comeback nearly impossible!

In the third game, at 2 minutes, a team fight broke out in the top lane where KSG focused fire to kill Taiyi Zhenren. At 5 minutes, KSG seized the chance to dive the tower and kill Da Mo. At 6 minutes, a mid-lane team fight erupted with KSG trading zero deaths for two kills. By 8 minutes, KSG invaded the jungle to steal red buff, killing two opponents and breaking the top lane high ground.
At 10 minutes, Xi Shi initiated the fight, and KSG again traded zero deaths for two kills, then secured the Shadow Tyrant. At 16 minutes, a team fight broke out near the high ground. By 17 minutes, KSG wiped out the enemy team and took another objective.

In the fourth game, DYG was even less able to resist! At 4 minutes, KSG took the first Tyrant, and skirmishes broke out along the river. At 5 minutes, KSG invaded the jungle and chased down enemies for a zero-death two-kill team fight. At 10 minutes, KSG focused fire to kill Da Siming, then secured the Shadow Tyrant, pushing the enemy’s health bars low in the jungle fight. At 14 minutes, KSG pressed the high ground, killed Da Siming, and destroyed all three lanes of high ground. At 15 minutes, KSG took another Shadow Tyrant, continuously pressuring the enemy’s points and used minions to break the crystal, winning the game.

KSG grew stronger with each game. In the fifth match, starting with Liuxing’s solo kill on Ying, KSG kept initiating fights in the top and mid lanes. Juhao’s Jing was spectacular, achieving a 7-0-0 KDA and averaging 1000 gold per minute in under eight minutes. Although DYG’s bottom lane gained some advantage, their top lane collapsed, and forced team fights only worsened their situation. Both teams had jungle core lineups, but Jing dominated as a solo carry, leaving DYG’s comeback hopes slim. With a 12-0 record on Jing, KSG crushed their opponents in a decisive match.
With a 4-1 score, KSG completed a comeback to easily advance to the challenger cup quarterfinals. Seeing Juhao’s three consecutive MVPs, many fans felt that in JDG’s eyes, Wuai’s value outweighs the KPL championship! It seems that only KSG can end AG’s championship streak!

As this season nears its end, those who haven’t yet earned the King’s Mark should hurry up. Many players who have reached their desired rank are eagerly awaiting the new season! The S42 season has undergone major changes in rank inheritance, and according to official announcements, reaching 39 stars in King rank is now the hardest.
Previously, players with 30 stars in King rank would inherit into the Diamond tier. But in the new S42 season, King rank players with 39 stars will inherit into Diamond rank instead. Although both Diamond and Star tiers are considered low ranks, the difference in match quality between Diamond and Star is significant early in the season. Therefore, if you don’t want to inherit Diamond rank next season, you’ll need to keep pushing hard!
