Regarding skins, everyone knows Cao Cao recently got the KPL annual limited skin called “Ambition to Soar.” This skin has already been revealed; although it is only of the Brave quality, its overall look is quite good, featuring a purple-golden color scheme. The effect can be seen as a simplified version of the Night City Pact skin, which normally requires spending over ten thousand points to obtain. But actually, Cao Cao released a legendary skin called “Mighty Spirits” on September 28, and within just one month, another new skin was launched, probably setting a record for the shortest interval between skin releases.

That’s not all. Although it seems like not many players pay attention to Cao Cao, the number of his skins has actually reached a considerable amount. He currently has nine skins in total: one legendary skin, which is the previously mentioned Mighty Spirits; three epic skins—Night City Pact, Wolf Conqueror, and Ghost Captain; three brave skins—Grand Slam Victory, the new Ambition to Soar, and Candle Dragon; and two normal skins—Super Cop and Death Is Coming.

In terms of strength, Cao Cao has undergone multiple skill reworks and his power has been fully enhanced. According to camp data, Cao Cao has nearly a 56% win rate across all ranks, with a pick rate of about 13%. In peak and top-tier matches, the win rate remains between 55% and 56%, while the pick rate exceeds 20%, clearly proving his current dominance, leading most other heroes.

How to master him

Actually, Cao Cao is not very complicated to play overall, so he is highly recommended for general players. For builds, the three core items are Shadow Battle Axe, Resistance Boots, and Pure Sky.

The Shadow Battle Axe mainly provides Cao Cao with damage output, and its cooldown reduction is very useful for a skill-reliant hero like him. The health bonus also greatly helps since Cao Cao needs to fight up close. Resistance Boots are important because, as mentioned, Cao Cao is vulnerable to crowd control despite his ultimate being able to remove it. Due to his limited mobility, small controls can easily disrupt his rhythm, so these boots are essential. Pure Sky is also crucial because Cao Cao takes damage when fighting closely. This damage reduction item combined with his ultimate’s lifesteal greatly enhances his sustained combat ability. Other equipment can be chosen flexibly based on the situation.
