On August 26th's playoffs, it was initially thought that K-League team Qingjiu might surprise the audience. Yet, facing the S-group team, Qingjiu was still no match! In the end, Qingjiu was defeated by LGD 2-4 and missed the chance to reach the third round of the losers' bracket!
In the first game,at 1 minute 20 seconds, LGD grouped on the top lane to claim first blood. By 6 minutes 30 seconds, after LGD took down the enemy’s bottom lane first tower, Qingjiu’s players arrived in numbers to assist and collectively killed Xiahou Dun. At 8 minutes 30 seconds, Haiyue initiated the fight, and Tongxiang Qingjiu killed Kongkong’er then secured the Tyrant. At 11 minutes, Qingjiu took the Shadow Dominator due to their numerical advantage. Soon after, a team fight erupted in the river area where LGD traded zero deaths for two kills and destroyed the enemy’s mid lane first tower. At 17 minutes 10 seconds, LGD broke through all three lane inhibitors and destroyed the crystal to take the first game.
In the second game, Qingjiu managed to even the score. In the third game,at 4 minutes 10 seconds, LGD secured the first small Tyrant, but Qingjiu responded by killing Yang Yuhuan to minimize losses. At 9 minutes, although Qingjiu held the Tyrant, LGD killed three enemies and took down the enemy’s mid lane second tower. At 10 minutes, LGD obtained the Shadow Tyrant and launched an attack; Jing dealt massive damage, achieving a triple kill and wiping out the enemy team. LGD then destroyed the crystal to claim the next victory.
In this game,Qingjiu’s Luban Master was quite difficult to play. LGD’s players could easily target him; with the Luban father-son combo, but no tank jungler or frontline to absorb damage, once Luban was focused, there was no room for output. Qingjiu also made many mistakes, and after falling behind in this match, they basically had no chance to fight back.
In the fourth game,at 4 minutes 40 seconds, Qingjiu secured first blood by killing Zhang Liang in mid lane and then invaded the red zone. At 5 minutes 30 seconds, LGD counterattacked in the blue zone and killed Agudo. At 10 minutes 40 seconds, Wang Zhaojun took the Shadow Tyrant, and LGD launched an assault, trading two for two. At 12 minutes 30 seconds, LGD captured the Shadow Dominator, and both teams swapped junglers in the mid river. At 15 minutes, LGD capitalized on Qingjiu’s continuous mistakes, destroyed the crystal, and reached match point first.
Although Qingjiu won back a game in the fifth match, LGD prevented the series from reaching a peak showdown by winning the sixth game and eliminating their opponents 4-2,successfully advancing to the third round of the losers’ bracket! They will face WB on August 28th to compete for a spot in the losers’ bracket semifinals! With this, all four teams from Group A have been eliminated!
