The truth about Little Maurice's arrest has been revealed! He allegedly defrauded a total of $265,000 with bad checks and appeared in court expressionless.

On July 30, according to TMZ Sports, Marcus Morris (Little Maurice) is facing legal troubles stemming from accusations that he defrauded two well-known casinos in Las Vegas out of a total of $265,000. Previous reports indicated that he could face up to 10 years in prison.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, this NBA player is accused of defrauding $115,000 from the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in May 2024 using bad checks, and he never repaid the amount after the checks were declined.

Officials stated that in June 2024, he carried out a similar fraudulent act at the Wynn Las Vegas by cashing a check he knew would bounce, resulting in a loss of $150,000.

Documents show that earlier this year, two separate arrest warrants were issued for Little Maurice regarding these allegations. As you may know, he was detained on Sunday at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida due to these warrants. He has been held ever since, awaiting extradition.

On Tuesday, Little Maurice's lawyer filed a motion for his release, claiming he is currently repaying debts in Nevada, and that releasing him would help expedite the resolution of this matter. However, the judge denied the lawyer's bail request, stating he would only be released if he was extradited to Nevada authorities or if the warrants against him were rescinded.

Little Maurice attended the court hearing but remained expressionless while his lawyer spoke with the judge. His twin brother, Markeef Morris, was present as an observer in the courtroom.

The Morris brothers' agent, Joni Noy, described the entire situation as "complete madness" on Sunday night, but he has not made any further comments since.

Little Maurice has played for the Rockets, Suns, Pistons, Celtics, Knicks, Clippers, 76ers, and Cavaliers. His last appearance on the court was during the 2023-2024 season. Throughout his career, he has averaged 12 points and 4.4 rebounds over 832 games.
