On July 27, Beijing time, renowned reporter Scotto reported that the Los Angeles Clippers have reached a two-way contract agreement with Jordan Miller, bringing him back to the team. To make room for Miller, the Clippers waived Baldwin. Currently, the team's roster remains at 14+3, consisting of 14 standard contract players and 3 two-way contract players.
Jordan Miller was the 48th overall pick in the second round of the 2023 draft and has been with the Clippers for two seasons. Last season, he played 37 NBA games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.6 rebounds. In this summer league, Miller excelled, earning a spot on the All-Summer League First Team, averaging 22 points per game with a shooting percentage of 53% and a three-point shooting percentage of 39%, while also contributing 7.8 rebounds.
Baldwin played 24 games for the Clippers last season, averaging 2.2 points and 1 rebound. According to the Clippers' reporter, if Baldwin is not claimed during the clearing period, the team is interested in signing him to an Exhibit 10 training camp contract.
Previously, the Clippers had reached a one-year contract agreement with free agent guard TyTy Washington, which is also an Exhibit 10 training camp contract. The Clippers are currently constrained by the hard salary cap of the first luxury tax line, preventing them from signing free agents to standard contracts. Washington will compete for a two-way contract spot during training camp, which is currently at full capacity.
The current 14+3 roster of the Clippers is as follows—
Standard contract players (sorted by salary): Leonard, Harden, Collins, Zubac, Bogdan, Jones, Lopez, Batum, Dunn, Beal, Nido, Kobe Brown, Paul, Christie.
Two-way contract players: Jordan Miller, Frowles, Sanders.
