Jalen Williams, an NBA champion and star player for the Oklahoma City Thunder, has reached an agreement for a five-year maximum rookie contract extension that could amount to $287 million, as reported by ESPN on Thursday.
After becoming the second-youngest team in NBA history to secure a championship last season, the Thunder have now secured their key athletes: 26-year-old Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, 23-year-oldChet Holmgren and 24-year-old Williams.
This trio is poised to contend for NBA championships together over the next five years.
Gilgeous-Alexander officially inked a four-year, $285 million contract on Tuesday, while Holmgren signed a five-year, $250 million deal on Wednesday.
The total cost of these three extensions amounts to $822 million.
