Dallas Mavericks star Anthony Davis has recently undergone surgery to address a detached retina but is expected to be ready for training camp, as reported by ESPN's NBA insider Shams Charania.
Davis sustained the injury mid-season, yet he continued to play through it despite taking multiple hits to the face.
The 10-time All-Star was part of a historic trade at the beginning of February that involved Luka Doncic moving to theLos Angeles Lakers. Nevertheless, Davis made only nine appearances for Dallas after suffering a left adductor strain.
Despite his injury challenges, Davis still averaged 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.2 blocks in 51 games with the Lakers and the Mavericks last season.
