The latest valuation ranking of the 30 teams: the Warriors are at the top of the list of $8.8 billion for three consecutive years, the Lakers are third, and the Rockets are seventh

On October 25, Beijing time, Forbes announced the latest valuation ranking of NBA teams, the Warriors reached $8.8 billion, ranking first in the league for three consecutive years, the Knicks ranked second with $7.5 billion, and the Lakers ranked third with $7.1 billion. Last season's championship, the Celtics, at $6 billion, are in fourth place.

Currently, across all sports, only five other teams have crossed the $7 billion threshold, the $7.55 billion New York Yankees and four NFL teams, led by the $10.1 billion Dallas Cowboys.

Forbes reports that the NBA league totaled $13 billion in revenue last season and is on track to achieve double-digit percentage growth again this season. Continued revenue growth has also skyrocketed the value of the 30 teams, which are now valued at an average of $4.4 billion, up 15% from last year. Forbes now estimates that no NBA team will sell for less than $3 billion. The Green Army, which is being prepared to be sold, may actually be able to sell for $6 billion.

Ten years ago, Ballmer paid $2 billion for the Clippers, and at the time it was widely believed that he was paying too much, but with the Clippers moving into their new $2 billion arena, the Clippers' value is expected to increase even further. Their latest valuation is currently $5.5 billion.

According to Forbes, the Warriors' total revenue for the 2023-24 season reached $800 million, including league revenue, net of arena debt services and revenue share. The Chase Center, the Warriors' home court, has brought in more than $700 million in local revenue. With the success of the Warriors, many teams realized the importance of building new arenas. Currently, the Raptors are upgrading their arenas, the Thunder have received special funding for the new arenas, and so have the Wizards.
