The American media commented on the TOP30 in the new season: Brother Alphabet beat Zion to the top Dream Chasing 18th and Li Kaier ranked 29th

On August 27, Beijing time, the well-known American media HoopsHype selected the top 30 forwards in the new season, with Bucks star Brother Alphabet ranking first, Tin arranging the second, and Banchero ranking third. Thick eyebrows are already considered as center forwards and are not in the power forward rankings. Jabari Smith Jr. was 15th, Dream was 18th, Hachimura was 24th, and Lee Kyle was 29th.

Previously, HoopsHype has selected the top 30 point guards, point guards and small forwards in the new season, the top three point guards in the new season are Doncic, Alexander and Brunson, the top three point guards in the new season are Edwards, Booker and Mitchell, and the top three small forwards in the new season are Tatum, Durant and James.

The following is the specific ranking of the top 30 forwards -

1st-10th: 1. Antetokounmpo, 2. Zion, 3. Banchero, 4. Siakam, 5. Downs, 6. Markkanen, 7. Randle, 8. Jaren Jackson Jr., 9. Mobley, 10. Aaron Gordon;

11th-20th: 11. Kuzma, 12. Miles Bridges, 13. Grant, 14. Keegan Murray, 15. Jabari Smith Jr., 16. Tobias Harris, 17. PJ Washington, 18. Chasing Dreams, 19. John Collins, 20. Topin;

Regarding some of these players, HoopsHype commented as follows –

He's the best power forward in the league, and even if he retires now, he's a Hall of Famer without a doubt. Last season, he finished fourth in the MVP vote and was named to the All-Star team. He's been named regular season MVP twice, an All-Star eight times, a All-NBA team eight times, a Defensive Player of the Year award, a four-time All-Defensive First Team selection, and he's won the championship and was named FMVP. Antetokounmpo is not yet 30 years old, and HoopsHype believes he could eventually become a top-15 player in history.

Zion: With significant weight loss in the offseason, the outlook for Zion's new season is exciting. Whether he can make the best team depends largely on his fitness. In the 2023-24 season, Zion played a career-high 70 regular-season games. As long as he stays fit for the new season, the explosive left-hander will be a nightmare for any opponent.

Banchero: If Zion doesn't play as expected, Banchero is expected to be the second-best power forward in the league. Banchero excels in both front-to-basket singles and spot-up shooting, and his ability to organize and grab rebounds makes it difficult for opponents to guard against him. He still needs to continue to improve his outside accuracy, shooting 29.8 percent from three-point range in his rookie season and 33.9 percent the following year, and he can continue to improve.

Jabari Smith Jr.: In the first two years, he had a slow start, averaging just 13.3 points per game and shooting 43 percent from the field, but he also showed all-around potential. He is only 21 years old and has plenty of time to grow. HoopsHype thinks he's on track to break out in the 2024-25 season.

Chasing Dreams: Last season, he shot a career-high 39.5 percent from three-point range, but the prospect of chasing dreams is not so promising, and he admits that he has considered retiring. Although he didn't score much, he still had good performances on the rebounding, playmaking and defensive ends. The Warriors need him to continue to do what he's good at.

Hachimura: He's an energy striker who can also play in the number three position in a larger lineup. For the Lakers, he's a very efficient role player, who can shoot threes, and he also has good athleticism and ball handling. The overall performance of the defense is average, and the speed and strength are not excellent. In the 2023-24 season, when Hachimura is on the floor, the Lakers can improve their scoring by 5 points per 100 possessions.

Kyle Lee: Joining the Warriors this summer, Kyle Lee sometimes plays like a snail, but his usage and space ability are still strong, even though he shot a career-low 22.9 percent from three-point range last season. Lee Kyle is a very reliable role player, and although his game may not be the most watching, he is an exciting power forward with very good playmaking.
