The Minnesota sports fan site first discovered that a marriage certificate exists on the official Minnesota marriage registration system website, listing the couple as Edwards and Shannon Jackson, who is now Edwards' wife.

According to the filing information on the Minnesota Marriage Registration System (MOMS) website, the couple registered their marriage on July 16 (July 17 Beijing time).

Jackson, formerly known as Jeanine Robel, has been in a long-term relationship with Edwards, and they first went public in 2020. The couple has a two-year-old daughter named Aislynn.
