Major signing! Thank you, Wiggins! From $110 million down to $64 million

Yeah~

Wiggins is exercising his player option for next season and has signed a new contract extension with the Heat. Details are as follows:

Year 1: $30.2 million;

Year 2: $16.5 million;

Year 3: $17.5 million.

So cheap, it’s practically a steal.

Total over three years: $64 million, averaging about $21.33 million per year. Wiggins' previous contract was 4 years for $109 million.

You know, our guy Wiggins put up top-tier numbers last season, averaging 15.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game in the regular season, while knocking down 2 three-pointers per game at a 41.4% clip.

Media outlet Legion Hoops commented: Thanks to Wiggins' pay cut, the Heat now have greater flexibility in building a championship-contending team.

The Heat are set to make moves in free agency, reportedly targeting Beal, who has declined his $5.6 million player option for next season.

That guy started as the Clippers' shooting guard last season but only played six games due to injury, averaging 20.2 minutes, 8.2 points, and 1.7 assists per game with a 37.5% shooting percentage.

Actually, Beal just turned 33, which means he's still at the tail end of his prime. If he can stay healthy and is willing to sign for a minimum contract, the Heat could certainly take a chance on him as a super sixth man.

Of course, as mentioned above, Beal is now a completely free agent and can decide where to go on his own. However, there's no doubt he will bring his talents to a championship-level team, and the Heat are naturally among the options.

According to stats, Beal's total career earnings have reached $343 million. He's not short on money, so his primary goal at this stage of his career is to win a championship. That's why he joined the "offseason champion" Clippers last summer, and it would be perfectly reasonable for him to head to Miami to team up with Giannis this summer.

The Heat right now are simply irresistible to veteran free agents.
