Awesome, awesome! Congratulations to Yang Hansen! The 28-year-old center bids farewell to the Trail Blazers.

Who would have thought~

Ja Morant's new destination is actually Portland...

The Grizzlies trade Morant to the Trail Blazers, receiving Grant and Murray in return, and the deal includes no draft picks.

If the Trail Blazers do not make any further major trades, their backcourt will be overcrowded with players like Morant, Lillard, Holiday, Henderson, Sharpe, and others, plus ball-handling small forward Avdija. As a result, the frontcourt players, especially centers, will need to focus on blue-collar work and should not expect to compete for the ball with such a large group of guards.

Born on August 10, 1999, Morant stands 1.88m tall with a 1.98m wingspan. He spent seven seasons with the Grizzlies, averaging 22.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, and 1.0 steal per game in the regular season, shooting 46.6% from the field and 31.1% from three-point range; in the playoffs, he averaged 26.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 1.4 steals, shooting 44.5% and 34.4% respectively. During this period, he was selected to two All-Star games and one All-NBA team, among other honors.

In short, Morant's arrival has both pros and cons for our Yang Hansen. The advantage is that there is an additional ball-handler, which means more opportunities for easy catches and finishes, as Morant has gradually shifted toward a playmaking role in recent years.

Oh, and there's absolutely good news.

Trail Blazers veteran reporter Jason Quick reports:It is anticipated that Robert Williams, currently an unrestricted free agent, will not remain with the team. He is seeking a new contract worth $15 million annually. Yang Hansen will become the first and only backup option behind Clingan.

The 28-year-old Robert Williams may be injury-prone, but his talent is undeniable. Last season he played 59 games (a career high in the last four seasons), averaging 17.1 minutes, 6.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.5 blocks per game, shooting 70.8% from the field. This postseason, he averaged 21.6 minutes, contributing 9.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 blocks, with a field goal percentage of 62.9%.

It is reported that Robert Williams is likely to return to the Celtics, where he spent the first five years of his career. In the 2021-22 season, he even served as the starting center and helped the team reach the NBA Finals.
