On June 3, Beijing time, Stephen Curry signed a landmark sneaker endorsement contract with Chinese brand Li-Ning, and the contract amount has finally been made public.

According to ESPN insider Shams, Curry and Li-Ning finalized a 10-year endorsement deal worth over $400 million. This transformative collaboration will be the cornerstone of the Curry brand's next stage, with its business scope no longer limited to basketball shoes.
The report also indicates that Li-Ning's offer was not the highest one Curry received. Industry sources told ESPN that multiple brands made offers of similar scale, and Curry even turned down a contract with higher compensation than Li-Ning's.
Ultimately, he chose Li-Ning, which best aligns with his long-term commercial strategy and the blueprint for his own business empire.
The contract covers basketball footwear and apparel, casual sportswear lines, and an exclusive golf collection. Curry can also sign male and female professional athletes under the Curry brand. Li-Ning plans to open Curry brand direct-to-consumer stores in both the United States and China, providing the four-time champion with a global platform for development both on and off the court.
After Curry and Under Armour mutually ended their 12-year partnership (worth $300 million) last November, this highly anticipated sneaker brand competition reached its conclusion.

Curry publicly expressed gratitude to his former partner, Under Armour, but industry sources say that as Under Armour's market value declined and its investment in the Curry brand fell short, Curry's frustration grew. Following the split, Curry became the most sought-after free agent endorser in the sneaker market.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, he wore sneakers from various brands, sparking widespread discussion. One notable highlight was when the Warriors played on the road in San Antonio and Curry wore the Nike Kobe 6 "Mambacita" colorway, which became a major talking point.
Shams added that the feel and fit of the shoes were key factors in Curry's decision. He personally tried on the signature sneakers of his teammate Jimmy Butler and legendary player Dwyane Wade, both of whom are also under the Li-Ning umbrella.
With over $400 million in partnership funds over the next decade, Curry is betting that Li-Ning can help transform the Curry brand from a single popular signature line into a globally leading sports lifestyle powerhouse.
