Number 3! Give up the number 3! Arrogant top prospect! Truly showing no respect to Trae Young

To be honest, if you don't want to come, just say it. There's no need to be so offensive and make yourself look like a difficult person.

The top prospect for the 2026 draft, AJ Dybantsa, recently said arrogantly on a podcast: "If the Wizards choose me, then Trae Young needs to give up the number 3 jersey..."

Trae Young is after all a veteran who has fought in the NBA for eight years and a top player who has been selected to four All-Star games. How can a rookie who hasn't even officially started his career look down on him like this? This is really disrespectful.

Before this year's trade deadline, the Hawks sold Trae Young at a bargain price to the Wizards, only getting CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert in return, without any draft picks involved.

This season, Trae Young has played five games for the Wizards, averaging 20.8 minutes per game and contributing 15.2 points, 3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, with shooting percentages of 59.5%, 42.9%, and 70.8%. His current contract expires next summer.

As for that young punk mentioned at the beginning, being so arrogant, he must have some talent.

AJ was born on January 29, 2007. He is a tall wing with a height of 2.04 meters and a wingspan of 2.14 meters. During his freshman season in the NCAA, he played for Brigham Young University, averaging an impressive 25.5 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 51%, 33.1%, and 77.4%. He tops all major draft prediction lists.

However, although AJ is indeed impressively talented, the Wizards don't seem to necessarily have to draft him with the number one pick, and they might even trade the pick.

In mid-May, renowned reporter Siegel reported: "The Wizards are open to trading the number one pick. Currently, the Jazz have clear interest, and they might offer this year's second overall pick plus a future unprotected first-round pick and the fifth overall pick in the 2025 draft, Bailey."

Notably, besides AJ, there are several other promising prospects in this year's draft who have franchise cornerstone potential, such as 1.94-meter combo guard Darryn Peterson and 2.03-meter forward Cameron Boozer.

In short, AJ is not Wembanyama or Flagg. He is not a must-have. The initiative lies with the Wizards, and he absolutely cannot do whatever he wants.
