Save $2000! NBA Official: Yang Hansen's technical foul against the Wizards has been rescinded.

On March 31 Beijing time, the NBA officially announced that after review by the league office, the technical fouls assessed to Yang Hansen and Reese yesterday have been rescinded, meaning Yang Hansen will not be fined $2000. In yesterday's game where the Trail Blazers defeated the Wizards 123-88, Yang Hansen was dragged away by Julian Reese with 33 seconds left in the game. He smiled and spread his hands in protest, resulting in the referee calling technical fouls on both players.

In a post-game interview yesterday, Yang Hansen was asked about receiving his first career technical foul. He stated that he knew the foul would result in a fine and specifically knew it would cost $2000.

When recounting what happened on the court, Yang Hansen said: "We were both jostling for the rebound in a friendly manner, maybe we got tangled up. He put his hand under my arm and hugged me while backing up, so I relaxed and kept my hands clear, not moving at all. After the ball landed, I just smiled at him. Afterwards, I greeted him in a friendly way."

Yang Hansen also mentioned that he didn't really lose out. "If the referee gave it, then it's given. Next time I'll just be careful not to do it again." Of course, with this technical foul rescinded, Yang Hansen's NBA career still remains without a technical foul.

So far this season, Yang Hansen has played 41 games for the Trail Blazers, averaging 2.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.5 assists per game. In yesterday's game, he scored 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 block.
