In the first quarter, Yan Shqi hit a corner three-pointer to score the first points for Liaoning. Liu Yancheng, Holiday, and Wiggins scored from inside and outside, Guangzhou launched a 9-0 run to take the lead. Xu Xin, Burton and others scored successively, Guangzhou quickly extended the lead to about 10 points. Wills and Morland scored continuously, Liaoning staged a 10-2 mini-run to narrow the gap to 1 point.
