Insane! Jokic scores 32 as Nuggets explode for a record 157 points; Yang Hansen records 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 block in Blazers' heavy defeat

On February 21st, during the 25-26 NBA regular season, the Nuggets dominated the Blazers 157-103, establishing the highest single-game team score of the season. Yang Hansen entered as a substitute in the final quarter and posted 4 points, 1 rebound, and 1 block.

Game Progress

Klingen started hot with back-to-back three-pointers, propelling the Blazers to an early 10-2 lead. The Nuggets quickly responded as Brown scored 5 straight points and Jokic nailed a three-pointer, sparking a 13-0 run that flipped the game and put Denver ahead. In the following stretch, Jokic kept scoring both inside and outside, while Murray also hit a three-pointer. When Jokic made a mid-range jumper, the Nuggets held a 12-point advantage. Near the end of the quarter, the Blazers attempted a comeback, but the Nuggets maintained control. By the end of the first quarter, Denver had scored 41 points and led by 14, with Jokic racking up 19 points. In the second quarter, the Blazers started with a scoring run, narrowing the gap to 9 points. However, Murray hit a three-pointer and Jokic completed a three-point play, fueling a scoring surge that extended Denver's lead to 20. Towards the quarter’s close, Murray not only hit consecutive three-pointers but also drew fouls and converted all three free throws, helping the Nuggets score another 41 points in the quarter. At halftime, Denver led 82-53, with Yang Hansen yet to see playing time.

After halftime, the Blazers regained their shooting touch, with Avdija and Klingen leading a series of successful shots. Yet, Murray continued his strong play, teaming with Strusser to score both inside and from outside, keeping the Nuggets firmly ahead at 101-68. The Nuggets then kept up their momentum, hitting several more three-pointers and further extending their lead. When Johnson sank a three-pointer, Denver was up by 43 points. Towards the end of the quarter, both teams traded points, with Denver scoring 43 in the period. After three quarters, the Nuggets led comfortably at 125-85. In the final quarter, the teams exchanged points early on, and Yang Hansen finally entered as a substitute midway through. Although he grabbed a rebound and made a block, he missed four consecutive free throws. Later, Yang scored on a hook shot and made two free throws in a row. Ultimately, the Nuggets secured a commanding victory over the Blazers.
