Insider Shams:The Trail Blazers have agreed to a new two-year deal with two-way guard Sidy Cissoko.

Cissoko, born on April 2, 2004, was the 14th pick in the second round of the 2023 draft. He is a 1.98-meter tall wing-guard with a 2.08-meter wingspan. So far this season, he has appeared in 50 games, starting 24, averaging 22.3 minutes, scoring 6.5 points, grabbing 2.6 rebounds, and dishing out 1.5 assists per game, shooting 40.8%, 32.7%, and 70.3% from the field, three-point range, and free throws respectively.

Meanwhile, reporter Murrows noted,To make room for officially signing Cissoko, the Trail Blazers waived Luper.

Luper, born May 31, 2004, was the 13th pick in the second round of the 2023 draft. He is a 2.01-meter tall wing with a 2.18-meter wingspan. This season, he has played 48 games all off the bench, averaging 12 minutes, 2.9 points, and 1.8 rebounds, shooting 36.1%, 31%, and 64.3% from the field, three-point line, and free throws respectively.

Currently, the Trail Blazers hold a 27-29 record, ranking tenth in the Western Conference, 5.5 games ahead of the 11th place Grizzlies. Their primary goal in the upcoming schedule is to secure the play-in tournament spot and then aim to advance into the playoffs.
