As reported by ESPN on February 20th Beijing time, Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball was not listed on the team's injury report and is expected to play in today's matchup against the Houston Rockets. The previous day, he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Charlotte.

The Hornets are among the NBA's hottest teams right now, winning 10 out of their last 11 games, with Ball being a key contributor to their achievements.

Local media reported that the accident occurred at the intersection of Trade Street and Tryon Street, where a sedan was damaged and stopped in the middle of the intersection. Ball's customized 2022 GMC Hummer was parked by the roadside, missing its front wheel. Witnesses said a gray Kia was traveling east on Trade Street, while Ball was driving the Hummer westbound on Trade Street and collided with the Kia as he attempted to make a left turn onto the one-way Tryon Street.

Witnesses stated they saw Ball get out of the Hummer and get into a Lamborghini. When Ball exited the Hummer and transferred to the Lamborghini, he appeared unharmed. Both the Kia and the Hummer were towed away. Medical personnel reported one person sustained minor injuries with no life-threatening conditions.

The police report has not yet been released. There is currently no information about the other driver involved, but video footage shows that after the accident, the other driver calmly exited their vehicle and approached Ball's car.

So far this season, Ball has played 45 games for the Hornets, averaging 19.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game. The Hornets have a 26-29 record, currently sitting 9th in the Eastern Conference.
