On February 20th Beijing time, Warriors player Draymond Green spoke on a podcast about Durant’s alternate account issue, stating that if it were him, he would definitely respond. Moreover, Draymond noted that if the Durant alternate account story is accurate, the Rockets’ locker room vibe would probably be extremely awkward.

During All-Star Weekend, rumors emerged that Durant might have been using a secondary account called gethigher77. This account posted comments such as, “Your franchise player can neither shoot nor defend, which is a bigger problem than my turnovers,” likely referring to Sengun. Another post said, “Jabari Smith Jr. is completely unreliable, can’t score or defend, this guy is not good.” The account made many similar remarks that negatively affected Durant’s image and public perception.
“I’m not sure if these are true; again, these are only alleged statements from Durant,” Draymond said. “Durant’s response today was, ‘I won’t discuss anything about Twitter, my teammates and I have been united all season.’”

Afterward, Draymond shared his thoughts on the matter, as follows—
“Personally, if something about me came out, I usually would step forward to address it. If I did it, I’d admit it; if not, I’d deny it. I’m willing to respond because ignoring it just leaves room for speculation and rumors. This involves many people, including teammates I’ll be working with this season, so I don’t think staying silent is an option.”
“Of course, I’m not in their locker room and don’t know how they’re handling it internally. But if this happened on our team, it’s very likely someone would come out to clarify. Even if it’s been discussed privately, once it’s public, handling it behind closed doors alone won’t calm things down. People will still have opinions, and emotions will build up over time.”

“So if it were me, I would respond publicly. But everyone handles things differently. Honestly, if it really is his alternate account, after the All-Star break when they return to training and enter the locker room, the scene would probably be extremely awkward and the atmosphere off. Of course, these are just rumors for now, only suggesting the account might belong to Durant. Maybe one day we’ll learn the truth, or maybe we already know it—who knows.”
