On February 17th Beijing time, NBA reporter Fischer revealed that the Warriors are set to ink Nate Williams to a two-way deal.

This player, also called Jinasen Williams, is a 1.96-meter shooting guard who has been competing with the Long Island Nets in the NBA G League, aiming to make a comeback to the NBA. He signed a training camp contract with the Lakers last autumn but was released in October.
Williams played for the Rockets last season, initially on a two-way contract before being converted to a standard deal. He appeared in 20 games, averaging 7.4 minutes per game with 3.3 points and 0.7 rebounds, before being waived by the Rockets this summer.

After being waived by the Lakers, Williams joined the Nets’ G League affiliate. In 35 games, he averaged 34 minutes, contributing 18.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.8 steals, shooting 47.2% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range.
Williams also played 22 games for the Rockets in the 2023-24 season and appeared in 5 games the previous year with the Trail Blazers. He went undrafted after graduating from the University at Buffalo in 2022.
The Warriors currently have an open two-way contract slot and can sign Williams without releasing any player. After the trade deadline, the Warriors promoted Pat Spencer to a standard contract, freeing up the two-way slot. So far this season, the Warriors hold a 29-26 record, ranking 8th in the Western Conference.
