Major signing announcement! Hello, McGee! A complete sensation across the entire CBA.

It’s happening, the rumors have come true.

A blockbuster signing as McGee announces his joining of the Beijing team, set to compete in the second phase of this CBA season.Without a doubt, paired with Zhou Qi as the twin towers, these two NBA-experienced big men are truly a terror for any rival, though the key is staying healthy; if he can’t get on the court, everything is wasted.

Currently, this guy plays for the Illawarra Hawks in the Australian NBL, averaging 19.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, with a shooting percentage of 56.8%.

The old Ferrari still runs strong; at 38 years old, McGee continues to dominate in leagues outside the NBA.

Standing 2.13 meters tall with a 2.29-meter wingspan, McGee not only has exceptional static physical gifts but also explosive athleticism. He is a perfect interior player model for today's small-ball era. Unfortunately, due to limited basketball IQ, he never fully realized his potential, yet he still competed in the NBA for 16 years, earning about $90.95 million in salary, winning three championships and an Olympic gold medal during that time.

Throughout his NBA career, McGee played for multiple teams including the Wizards, Nuggets, 76ers, Mavericks, Warriors, Lakers, Cavaliers, Suns, and Kings. He averaged 16.1 minutes per game in the regular season, contributing 7.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks with a shooting accuracy of 57.8%. In the playoffs, he averaged 12.4 minutes, scoring 5.6 points, grabbing 4 rebounds, and blocking 1 shot per game, shooting at 61.6%.

McGee’s last NBA stint was with the Kings in the 23-24 season, after which he moved overseas to continue his playing career. His first stop was with the Bayamon Warriors in the Puerto Rican league, where he helped secure the 24-25 season championship. His second stop was the Australian NBL’s Hawks, and now the Beijing team in the CBA will be his third destination.

Even without McGee, Beijing already had one of the most luxurious rosters in the current CBA, but due to injuries and other factors, their performance in the first phase was disappointing. They only managed a 14-win, 9-loss record, placing seventh in the league.Last season, however, they were a finals team.
