On February 15th Beijing time, during the NBA All-Star media session, Lakers star Doncic spoke with reporters. He shared that he won’t try to dunk on LeBron James in the All-Star Game and acknowledged that while he has scored 73 points in a game, hitting 100 points like Chamberlain is improbable. Here is the interview transcript —

Reporter: Luka, who is your all-time favorite teammate? You have to be careful with your answer and respond sincerely.
Doncic: All of my teammates.
Reporter: Not a specific one? Not that 7-foot-4 Serbian center (Boban)?
Doncic (laughing): Definitely not.
Reporter (imitating Boban’s voice): Is he in your top 10, top 3?
Doncic: Maybe top 20.

Reporter: There are rumors you might be interested in investing with Donnie Nelson in an NBA Europe team based in Rome. Can you talk about that?
Doncic: I can’t say much about that. We’re here for the All-Star Game, and I’d rather talk about that.
Reporter: You’ve missed the last four games. How are you feeling now? Do you think you’ll play in the All-Star Game? If so, would you try to dunk on LeBron?
Doncic: I’m feeling pretty good, working hard on my recovery. I really wanted to play in the previous game but just missed it. I think I’ll get some minutes. As for dunking on LeBron, I won’t do that.

Reporter: You’ve already achieved so many incredible things at a young age—scoring, rebounding, everything. Do you think scoring 100 points in a single game is possible for you?
Doncic: I don’t know, I think it’s unlikely. I’ve scored 73 points before, which was a lot, and it felt like every shot went in. Scoring 100 points is just too hard.
Reporter: This is your first time selected as a Lakers All-Star. How do you feel now?
Every All-Star Game, I feel grateful. Now I’m a six-time All-Star, which not everyone can say. So I just want to enjoy the moment and really appreciate it.
Reporter: What’s your favorite part of the NBA All-Star Weekend? Is there anything fans don’t usually get to see?
Doncic: My favorite part is the game itself. Being able to play alongside the best players in the world and stand on that court—like I said, just enjoying and cherishing the moment is enough.
