The detailed odds rankings are as follows: 1. Wembanyama (+450), 2. Maxey (+900), 3. Cunningham (+1000), 4. Booker and Durant (+1100), 6. Mitchell, Edwards, Murray (+1200), 9. Brunson and Brown (+1400), 11. Leonard (+1600), 12. LeBron (+2000).

Wembanyama’s high favorability is partly due to his talent, but more importantly, his recent statements. He has expressed that he will take the All-Star Game very seriously, giving his all on offense and defense.

“I’ve watched the All-Star Game, and it clearly lacks competitiveness. I’ve always believed that if I’m on the court, I would never stand around indifferent to losing... I never play casually or think losing is okay. I will always compete with full effort for victory.”

In the Lakers game, Wembanyama played only 26 minutes but scored 40 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Afterward, he said he wanted to return to the game to keep fighting, but due to back-to-back matches, the coaching staff denied his request. He believes he had the chance to score 60 points.
