Raptors' trade offer for Davis revealed! Barrett is the key piece, with Quickley or Pöltl as the other option

On January 15th Beijing time, according to reporter Stein, the Toronto Raptors are among the teams interested in acquiring Anthony Davis from the Dallas Mavericks. Sources say the Raptors are evaluating the necessary pieces to finalize the trade. The proposal will focus on RJ Barrett, plus either Quickley or Pöltl as part of the deal.

Even if the Raptors add a future first-round draft pick on top of these contracts, the salary relief this trade would provide the Mavericks remains minimal.

Although Davis's agent Rich Paul is actively pushing for a trade, sources indicate that the Mavericks do not feel pressured to move him.

The Mavericks may choose to keep the star big man after the trade deadline, depending on the offers they receive and their roster plans. So far this season, Davis has played only 20 games, averaging 20.4 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

Currently, the Mavericks hold a 15-25 record, ranking 12th in the Western Conference and outside the play-in spots, making the timing of any potential trade especially crucial. Earlier reports suggested that if the Mavericks decide to give up on this season, Davis might not return to play, and the same applies to Irving.

Davis’s contract for next season is worth $58.5 million, with a player option of $62.8 million for the 2027-28 season, adding complexity to any potential trade discussions.
