On December 14th Beijing time, reporter Haynes shared the latest on Paul. The following is Haynes' report—

"You know, he still hasn’t recovered from the shock and can’t believe how things turned out," Haynes stated,He initially believed that certain teammates were close friends he could confide in, but ultimately, he feels those individuals are unworthy of the term 'friend.' Especially as his time with the Clippers nears its end, this has been truly disheartening for him. However, he continues to train diligently every day. Whenever I call him, he’s either working out in the gym or practicing on his home court with his son according to plan.”

Regarding Paul's future, Haynes said: “Several teams have already contacted him proactively, all wanting to know what his next move will be. So he currently has quite a few options and is not lacking potential destinations. I don’t think he will just wrap things up abruptly. I can’t imagine him leaving the game this way. I’m confident he will make a return at some point this season to finish out the remaining games.”
Previously, Haynes reported on the details of the relationship between Paul and Tyronn Lue.

“Chris Paul did reach out to Tyronn Lue; I know he sent him a message, but Lue replied, ‘I don’t want to meet.’ So they never actually met. When Paul was still on the team, they used to communicate often. I spoke with Paul last week, and I can tell you clearly, he is extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Especially the part involving Lue, because he originally believed their relationship had always been strong.”
